Chapter 120
SERAPHINA’S POINT OF VIEW.

My heart pounds in my chest as I watch Lucien dash out of the infirmary and down the halls. He looked like a man on a mission, his long legs pulling him along as he practically marched off. My mind screamed one thing at me;
This would be chaotic, and Father would hate every second of it.
I followed behind him with small steps so he would not see me, but I doubt he could see anything else in this moment; all he did was look ahead.
It felt like the world had paused for him, waiting with every breath to see what he would do, and if I knew anything about Ravenscroft, it was that he would
stir shit up.
He pushed through the doors of the arena, and marched inside. It suddenly felt e the air was still, as everyone watched with rapt attention, and like the fucking attention maggot this school was, I’d already seen some of the students with their phones out, ready to file this for the school’s gossip columns. The camera flashed at him with every move he made.
All of a sudden, it didn’t feel like a debate turned cooking competition anymore; it felt like a press release.
“If Sloane isn’t here in the next five minutes, she will be banned from ever representing this school in anything, regardless of how good she is in this school. Anyone is replaceable.” The Vice. Principal said.
My eyes found my mother’s instantly, and as if she could tell that someone was watching her, she turned to me. The moment we made eye contact, she sent me a sign, but all I could do was shake my head as my eyes flashed with worry.
She pursed her lips and stared at Lucien with narrowed eyes.
“You all wanted a fucking show?” Lucien’s voice blasts in the microphone as he shatches it from the moderator’s hands. The small man can barely put up a fight because Lucien pushes him away without even breaking a sweat.
His blazer was gone, his sleeves had been rolled up, and his tie was nowhere to be seen.
He turned to Roxanne, stupid, gullible Roxanne, who had lost the smug smirk by this time, as she stared at Lucien with sharp eyes and red cheeks.
“Lucien-” She started, but he didn’t let her finish.
“You thought you could fuck with what’s mine?” He chuckled, the sound dark, making me clutch my skirt with tight fingers. This was gonna be bad….and I had a feeling Father would hound me for it.
“I only did what I thought was right. Please, it’s not like she’s anything special. Roxanne said, rolling her eyes, and all of a sudden, I wanted to smack the
bitch again.
“That’s why you’re gonna lose your fucking privileges, sweetheart. Call your fath, ask him how he’s doing.” Lucien said, smiling, and instantly, Roxanne’s
eyes went cold.
“You didn’t dare,”
“I did. You forgot just who the hell was in charge? How dare you? How fucking dare you touch what’s mine?!” He pulled a stick from behind the judge’s desk
and tossed it to Killian.
The latter held onto it, and all of a sudden, I heard the sick crack of someone’s he connecting with the bat from Killian’s harsh hit.

Chapter 120
Matt groaned from where he stood, far away from Roxanne. “What the hell did 1?! I wasn’t even involved this time.”

“You’re associated with her. Of course, you’ll be collateral damage.” Lucien chuckled. Roxanne didn’t even look at Matt. All she could do was stare at her
phone.
I pulled mine out and searched for the name of her father’s company.
Fuck.
It hit me like a fucking snowstorm. The news was everywhere already. I watched ve as the stocks in her father’s company plummeted to the fucking
ground.
“I guess those designers won’t save you now. Hell, you can’t even afford it.” He chuckled. He was right, because with this, their company was sure to close.
My father had done a deep dive into their company, and from what we gathered, the man had taken a huge debt, so with this, the bank would force them to
close up.
He’s made her dirt poor in a matter of seconds.
“None of you can post this to any news outlets. If you do, I’ll make sure I sue your fucking companies for all they’ve got, until you can’t find your fucking feet because you’re so deep in debt.”
The press instantly dropped their cameras, mumuring amongst themselves as they probably tried to delete any footage.
My phone vibrated with a notification from Ace.
This is bad, Sera. Father is displeased.
He texted, and I knew he was already reporting to him at this moment. The plan would have to do a quick 360 because of this.
Father wanted things fast…but not this fast.
Suddenly, he pulls the camera of one sorry reporter, till it’s directly in his face, and says;
“Let me make this very clear to whoever’s watching. Sloane Bishops isn’t just a Schlarsip girl. She’s mine, all mine.” My eyes widened at his declaration.
Fuck!
“You don’t mean that. He’s just-” Roxanne screeched like a banshee, wiggling her hands like a fucking child.
“Oh, I fucking do.”ucien interrupts. “You can tell the fucking world, I don’t give a danm, but she’s mine.”
Before I could even take another breath, a call came in with the name I’d been dading since this started.
FATHER.
I picked it up on the first ring, walking out of the arena with my heart pounding my ears
“Hel-”
“I’m coming to the States. You can’t do anything right.”
He hung up before I could say anything else. My skin crawled as panic surged in thy chest. If father was coming, it could only mean one thing;
