Chapter 149
AMARA’S POINT OF VIEW..
43.61%
I turned so fast, I was partially shocked about how my neck hadn’t popped froms socket. He looked like the embodiment of sin and danger, dressed in his
black leather jacket and black boots. His black hair looked wild and unruly on his head as he walked over to where I now stood. He flashed me the same wild
smile that had me feeling breathless the first time we met.
“Hey, Vixen.” He breathed, pushing Julian out of the way without even sparing him a glance. His dark eyes were focused on mine as he looked at the pink
dress I wore with a smirk and heat.
“Ace,” I whispered, my heart pounding in my ears as I took him in. He felt like a dream. I was almost scared of closing my eyes, because I thought he would
disappear if I did.
His hand connected with my palm as he pulled me closer to him, and all of a sudden, it was just me and him in the dining room; everyone else faded into
dust. “What are you doing here?”
“I said I’d crash the party, remember?”
Well, yeah…But I thought he was kidding; I never thought he would actually do it But I should have known, Ace is a crazy motherfucker…..But I loved him
like that.
“What the hell is going on here?” Julian asked, breaking the bubble I was in, fording my gaze away from Ace, and over to him. He stared at Ace with a
furious expression, like he wished he could bury him with just that.
Caroline laughed awkwardly, rushing over to Julian’s side with a tight smile; “Nothing. I’m sure Amara can come up with an explanation.” She said, before
turning to look at me with an expectant expression, “Well, start talking. Who is he? Have you been talking to someone else while engaged to Julia? How
could you be such a whore?”
Whore?
Ace’s expression turned grim immediately, as he turned to her before I could even say anything; “Call her that again. I fucking dare you.” Caroline doesn’t
say anything, and that was a wise move.
I’ve seen Ace in his true vindictive mode, and it wasn’t pretty in the slightest.
“Besides, she isn’t engaged to that weird-looking fucker beside you.”
“Weird? Who the fuck do you think you are?” Julian asked, stepping closer with reddened face.
“Ask your father who the hell the Everharts are. Maybe he’ll explain better to you He said, making me furrow my brows in confusion.
What the hell is going on?
“Everharts? You think I give a fuck about your last name? I’m a Montclair! For is sake, we’re literally royalty, so don’t you dare act like you’re anything but beneath me.” Julian yelled, swinging his hands around like a child. “And youte said, pointing at me, “You will be a good little fiancée by coming over to my side, and not holding another guy’s hand like a whore.”
He yelled, making me smirk, because I knew what that would cause. Julian might not know it yet, but he just pulled Ace’s demons out with that word again.
Next thing I knew, Ace, without letting go of my hand, lifted the crystal glass on the table, and hurled it at Julian’s lips. Instantly, it made contact with it
with a thud.

Chapter 149
“Ahh!” Julian hissed.

“Oh my God!” Caroline and his mother yelled, rushing over to him with their hands pulled out, as they inspected the bleeding as if he were a child.
“I quite remember warning against the use of that word a few minutes ago.” Acesked, making me chuckle beside him.
I stared at Julian’s leaning form with excitement, as he hissed and whined like a baby. “Don’t just stand beside me like idiots, do something, you fools!” He yelled, making Caroline and his mother jump startled.
“You heard him, get the first aid kit!” Caroline snapped at a maid, her face red with embarrassment. The poor woman rushed out of the dining room and returned minutes later with a first aid box in her trembling hands.
Caroline snatched the box from her hands and turned to Julian’s still writing form.
“Come on, Dad! Get him, or something.”
“Quiet, boy.” His father snapped, surprising me, before walking over to Ace and doing the one thing I never expected of him.
“Mr Everhart, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’ve been talking to your father about sponsoring my re-election campaign.” He said, bowing slightly in front of
Ace with a wide smile on his face.
I stared between them with wide eyes, wondering how this had happened.
“Yes, Mr Montclair. Now will you get your family out of here so my fiancée and her family can talk properly?”
“Fiancee?” Caroline, Julian, and his mother, Hermana, echoed in surprise. The only person not surprised, aside from Ace, was my father.
“Of course.” Mr Montclair said, before turning to his wife and son with a sneer.
“Get the fuck up, you embarrassment.” He spat and walked away without bothering to look back at them.
Hermana fell over herself as she tried to pull her son up from the floor. “Come on Julian. Let’s go. You know your father likes us to be at his pace.”
“This isn’t over, you fuckers. You’ll certainly not hear the end of this. I swear it! Julian yelled as he walked out.
“Now that that’s over, my name’s Ace. Ace Everhart, and I’m here, asking for your daughter’s hand in marriage.”
“Hand in “, Caroline said, and scoffed, “You must be sick to think that this will ever happen, especially after the stunt you just pulled: Get out of my house,
before I call the police on you.”
“Stop it, Caroline, He’s here to stay.” My father said, and stretched his hand out, ccepting Ace’s handshake.
“Allister!”
“Quiet,”
“You’ll really accept this? You seem to be forgetting about something.” Carolineid, but my father didn’t even bother staring at her. He just smiled at Ace
and said;
“Welcome to the family, son.”
