Chapter 159
ROXANNE’S POINT OF VIEW.
61%
My nails dug into my palms, creating crescent moon shapes as I bit my lip angri I stared at my uniform with disdain; the plain colours meant for the scholarship kids felt like salt on an injury as I tried my hardest not to scream.
My name is Roxanne Lemaire; my grandmother’s last name was the name I’d chosen to take on because it felt exotic, perfect, luxurious. I was the fucking
queen!
Not Sloane fucking Bishop….oh right, Everhart!
I should be the one wearing luxury clothes, driving that pink G-wagon, I should be the one with Lucien on my arm, I should be the one with the rich boyfriend, the rich parents, the wealth, the rich friends….everything!
How did all this fucking happen????
How did Sloane become the rich one, and I suddenly became the scholarship kid?
How?
I shivered at the stench of the walls. It might not reek to everyone else, but for some reason, to me, it felt like they smelled pungent of something I should hate. The sound of the phone ringing, as I held it to my ears with tight fingers, made me feel tense.
If he doesn’t pick up, I swear, I’ll fucking kill someone!
After a few more rings, the bastard finally picked up; “Roxanne.” Eldric drawled like a fucking demented demon. “I was waiting for you to crawl back.”
“Crawl back??? You fucking ruined me.” I hissed, tightening my grip on the phone
“Honey, you did that to yourself.” He said, sounding impatient, as if he had such right.
“I did as you commanded. All I have done is as you have commanded, and what the fuck did I get for it, absolutely fucking nothing!”
“You should never have let Lucien catch you, damnit!” He snaps, the sound of someone colliding with a surface forces me to pull the phone away from my ear. “I never instructed you to hit that brat on the head or lock her in the bathroom that day, but even if you wanted to, why were you so foolishly
incompetent enough to get caught?”
“Oh, please, don’t act as though I didn’t help matters. I made sure she was humiliated.”
“You fool. That was never the plan, and had you been patient enough, you would have seen it. But you keep acting like a fucking brat! So here you are, all
alone, and pathetic.”
“Fine! Say we accept that it’s my fault, what the hell are we going to do? Because now, I’m reduced to a fucking scholarship kid, and Sloane? She’s an elite
now!”
The sound of him laughing renders me stunned, as I stare at my phone with myouth agape… is this mother fucker really laughing at me right now?
“Why the hell are you laughing?”
“Because who the hell made her an elite? Lucien hasn’t married her, and I sure hell won’t let that happen.”
“Oh, you fool.” I tut, mockingly, because it dawns on me that he doesn’t know alut it yet.

Chapter 159
“What did you just say?”

“I called you a fool, Eldric,” I repeated. “Pick up that damn computer and search the Everhart reveal at the Ravenscroft high play, and maybe, you’ll finally
get caught up.”
“This better not be a waste of time.” He grumbled as the sound of him typing away aggressively filled in through the speaker.
A few seconds later, he yells like a fucking idiot.” What the fuck?! Who the hell are these people? How the hell is that foolish girl rich?!”
“Are you really asking me? I called you so you could fix this shit, and get me back in the elite circle, even if you have to fucking kill someone for it! Lucien
pulled away his investments, so since you’re the CEO, you can pull it back in.”
Eldric is the real ruler of the Ravenscroft wealth, right? So he should be able to get me back up with one phone call. I should have done this a long time
ago, and not waited for Lucien to finally forgive me, or leave Sloane.
“That can’t happen.” He said, making me sit up straight.
“Why?” I asked. “Just get it done already.”
“No, Roxanne, it cannot be done, and I cannot tell you why. Just be a good girl, and wait. I’ll call you when it’s time for you to be useful to me again, but for
now, be my eyes on the inside there. And I’ll let you know the next phase of the lan.”
Before I could say anything else, the bastard hung up on me.
“Ahhh!” I screamed as I threw the burner phone against the wall, the sound of it crashing, before it broke into pieces, oddly satisfying as I tried my hardest
not to scream.
From the corner of my eye, I could see Matt coming towards me, but I only knew he would add to my anger. I never liked the idiot; I only got with him
because I hated Sloane and thought it wouldn’t matter.
But I ruined my chance to become Mrs Ravenscroft, and now, Sloane is better than me.
“Hey, babe.” The idiot says, a pathetic smile on his face.
Before I could stop myself, I smacked him right across the face, the sound echoing through the silent hall. “You, fool, why the hell are you smiling? Hmm, look at Sloane. She’s rich! And you, you’re fucking tethering on the edge of bankptcy. If we don’t find a way to get back on top, we’re cooked.”
“You don’t need to be so fucking batshit crazy, Roxanne. I have a plan, and I think it’s gonna get us back on top in no time.”
“It better be good, because I swear it, if I have to fucking take the bus again, I’m going to commit a crime.”
“Just check this out, babe.”
I rolled my eyes and moved closer to him so I could see what he referred to. A site broke across my lips at the sight before me….Sloane would be ruined from this alone, and it would be enough to get me rich again.
