FAKE DATING WITH BENEFITS MY BILLIONAIRE BOSS
CHAPTER 151
MON
MON
It was after ten by the time we finally got back to the penthouse.
Jack and Sam had crashed almost immediately. After the hospital, Lily’s fever, and all the shit with Chloe. they barely made it to their rooms before they were out.
Lily was another story.
She didn’t fall asleep until Jamie had read her three books, promised twice that she’d be there when Lily woke up, and sat beside the bed until her eyes finally closed.
When I got out of the shower, I found Jamie in the office.
I stood in the doorway for a few seconds, watching her sort through the stack of papers I’d left scattered across the desk the day before.
She was wearing a long silk nightgown. Her hair was tied up any old way, a few strands loose around her
face.
Tired.
Beautiful as hell.
And cleaning up my mess.
Jamie looked up.
“What?”
“Nothing.”
She narrowed her eyes.
“Liar.”
I walked into the office.
“Sorry.”
That made her hands still.
. “For what?”
I stopped on the other side of the desk.
“For dragging you into all this.”
“Simon…”
“I mean it.” I braced my hands on the wood. “The kids. The hospital. Therapy. School. All this shit landed

on my plate, and somehow half of it ended up on yours too.”
nie watched me.
“I chose to take responsibility for the kids,” I continued. “You didn’t. I shouldn’t expect you to take it on with me just because we’re together.”
She set the papers on the desk.
Then she came over to me.
“Are you done?”
I frowned.
“I think so.”
“Good.”
She looped her arms around my neck.
My hands found her waist automatically.
“I have something to tell you.”
“What?”
“I’m proud of you.”
I blinked.
That was not what I’d expected.
“What?”
“You heard me.”
“I want to make sure.”
Jamie smiled.
“I’m proud of you, Simon.”
For some reason, those four words hit a place inside me I hadn’t realized was exposed.
She ran her fingers through the hair at the nape of my neck.
“You could’ve rejected the whole situation. You could’ve hired an entire staff, put the kids in some huge house, and showed up once a week to ask if they were doing okay.”
“That’d be a shitty thing to do.”
“Exactly.” She arched a brow. “But you didn’t. You stepped up. And you’re showing up, even when you have no idea what you’re doing.”

“Which is often.”
ery often.”
I squeezed her waist.
“Careful.”
She laughed.
“It’s funny. When I was just your lawyer, if someone had asked me whether Simon Hart would ever take care of three kids, I would’ve said, without a second thought, no chance.”
I let out a laugh.
“You had a terrible opinion of me.”
“You worked hard to earn it.”
Her smile softened.
“But I was wrong about some things.”
My thumb moved slowly along her waist.
“Like what?”
Jamie held my gaze.
“You have a huge heart.”
I grimaced.
“Don’t spread that around.”
She laughed.
“I have a reputation.”
“Sure.”
“I spent years building it.”
“Poor thing.”
“Jamie.”
“You have a good heart,” she repeated, deliberately. “You just didn’t want anyone to find out.”
I kissed her.
I didn’t think about it.
I just did it.

My hand slid to the back of her neck, and my mouth claimed hers.
meant to kiss her slowly.
I meant to.
But Jamie let out that little sigh when my lips touched hers, and every civilized intention went straight to hell.
I tightened my hand at her nape and tilted her face the way I wanted it.
I kissed her deep.
Unhurried, but far from gentle.
My mouth parted hers, and I felt Jamie’s fingers slide into my hair, tugging lightly. Her taste. The warmth of her tongue against mine. Her body softening against me as I held her by the waist.
She made another quiet sound.
Shit.
I ran my hand down her back and pulled her close until there was no space between us.
Jamie felt the effect she had on me immediately.
She broke the kiss with a breathless laugh against my lips.
“Oh my God.”
“What?”
“You really don’t know how to take a compliment, do you?”
“I just said thank you.”
“That was your thank-you?”
“I can thank you again.”
I tried to kiss her, but she turned her face away, laughing.
“Simon.”
I buried my face in her neck.
“You started it.”
“I only said you have a good heart.”
“Exactly. Extremely provocative.”
She laughed, and I felt the vibration against my mouth.

I kissed the spot beneath her car.
Then kissed it again.
“And for the record,” Jamie said, “I like it.”
I stopped.
“You like me kissing you?”
“That too.”
I lifted my head.
“That too?”
She toyed with the hair at my nape.
“This. The kids. The house full of people. Helping out.”
I stared at her.
“You like the chaos?”
“Don’t push it.” She smiled. “Let’s just say I’m getting used to it.”
“Getting used to what?”
“Having kids.”
Something inside me went instantly alert.
“How many?”
She blinked.
“How many what?”
“Kids.”
“Simon…”
“It’s a simple question.”
She thought for a second.
“Two.”
“Two?”
“Maximum.”
I looked at her like she’d just personally offended me.

“That’s way too few.”
Vay too few?”
“I want at least seven.”
Jamie went completely still.
Then she burst out laughing.
“Seven?”
“At least.”
“You’ve lost your mind.”
“Why?”
“Because seven kids isn’t a family. It’s practically a soccer team.”
I laughed.
“We can manage.”
“Sure. You won’t have to give birth to any of them.”
“I can be very helpful before that part.”
She smacked my chest.
“Idiot.”
I caught her hand before she could pull it away.
“Seven.”
“Two.”
“Six.”
“Two.”
“You think this is a negotiation?”
“Everything’s a negotiation.”
“Not my uterus.”
I had to laugh.
“Four.”
“Simon, I don’t even know if there’s time to have seven kids.”
