FAKE DATING WITH BENEFITS MY BILLIONAIRE BOSS (Ophelia Corrigan) novel Chapter 172

CHAPTER 172

– JAMIE

The next morning, I discovered there were worse things than knowing your fiancé’s nanny had probably heard you having sex.

Like finding out your friends had turned your bachelorette party into the kind of footage that could end careers.

“No.”

I pointed at Elizabeth’s phone.

“Delete that.”

“Over my dead body.”

Claire was practically sprawled across my desk, laughing so hard she could barely breathe. Kelly had both hands clamped over her mouth, and Elizabeth, who apparently had no shame left whatsoever, was holding her phone right in front of my face.

On the screen, a man wearing nothing but a ridiculously tiny white Speedo stood in the middle of the party room.

Elizabeth was on her knees in front of him.

Holding a squeeze bottle of sweetened condensed milk.

“After you left, the party got about a thousand times better,” Kelly managed between laughs.

“Fifteen hundred,” Claire corrected.

“You’ve all lost your minds.”

“You walked out on your own bachelorette party,” Elizabeth said. “Somebody had to have fun for you.”

She hit play.

In the video, Elizabeth squeezed a trail of condensed milk down the stripper’s torso. Starting at his chest, she worked her way over his abs, lower and lower, until…

“THAT’S ENOUGH!”

I lunged for the phone, but Elizabeth snatched it out of reach.

“You haven’t even seen the best part.”

“There’s a best part?”

Claire was laughing so hard she had tears streaming down her cheeks.

“She licks it off.”

“Oh my God. You are disgusting!”

They completely lost it.

On the screen, the women were screaming and cheering as Elizabeth ran her tongue down the man’s stomach.

I covered my eyes.

“Girls, you’re executives at Hart. For the love of God, please tell me you’re not going to let anyone else see these videos.”

“Relax, Jamie. Last night, we were just three ordinary women having a good time,” Elizabeth said.

“Three very naughty women, apparently,” Claire added.

That sent them into another fit of laughter.

Then the door swung open.

Every phone vanished.

It was honestly impressive.

Elizabeth shoved hers beneath a folder. Kelly hid hers behind her back, and Claire practically launched hers

into her purse.

Ethan walked in.

Stopped.

Looked at all four of us.

“Why do you all look like a bunch of teenagers who just got caught smoking in the school bathroom?”

“We’re having a meeting,” I said immediately.

He looked at Claire, then Elizabeth, then Kelly.

“About?”

“Compliance,” Elizabeth answered.

I nearly choked.

Ethan stared at her for a good two seconds.

“Of course.”

Then something in his expression changed, and my smile disappeared.

I knew that look.

It was the look of someone about to ruin my day.

“Jamie, we’ve got a problem.”

“What kind of problem?”

He approached my desk and held out his phone.

“The kind that’s already going viral.”

I took it.

A vertical video filled the screen.

A young woman sat in an emergency room, one eye covered with a thick gauze bandage. The other was red and swollen.

The caption across the video read:

I USED VÉRITÉ EYESHADOW AND LOST VISION IN MY LEFT EYE.

My stomach dropped.

Vérité.

One of the biggest cosmetics brands in Hart’s portfolio.

I tapped the video.

The woman was crying.

“I used the palette last night. My eyes started burning, so I washed it off. When I woke up this morning, I couldn’t even open them.”

The video cut to a photograph.

Her eye, horribly inflamed.

Another photograph.

A hospital report.

Then a recording of her mother.

“The doctors said she suffered severe damage to her cornea. My daughter might never fully regain her vision.”

My blood ran cold.

I scrolled.

Another video.

Another woman.
