The crowd cheered and screamed once more.
The blue butterflies were still fluttering about, and a blue glow appeared beside countless seats.
“What’s this?!” someone exclaimed.
Everyone looked over and picked one up.
It was a blue butterfly, made into a slap bracelet—a small piece of merchandise.
Someone immediately snapped it around their wrist.
It was as if the butterflies that had just burst from the flames had flown to their side and landed on their wrists.
“Wow, it’s like a magic trick!”
The crowd marveled, raising their hands to show off the glowing blue butterflies on their wrists. The cheers grew louder, with some people shouting until their voices cracked, yet the noise didn't subside.
They didn't want the concert to end.
They wanted this moving experience to last forever.
But all good things must come to an end.
Emilia’s eyes were red-rimmed. The giant butterfly in the sky was still flapping its wings. In a soft voice, Emilia said, “I know I’ve said it many times, but I want to say it again. I’m so moved. Thank you all.”
She bowed again.
The blue butterflies had vanished. Amidst the cheers, Emilia straightened up.
After saying a few more words, Emilia announced the end of the concert.
Cries of “Encore!” and pleas for her to stay filled the air.
Many people were wiping away tears.
But the concert was over.
Security personnel came to guide the fans out in an orderly fashion, ensuring everyone’s safety.
This was happening both inside and outside the arena.
Emilia headed backstage.
“Emilia!”
He called out to her.
But his voice was lost in the roar of the crowd. No one heard him.
And she didn’t look back.
