User567's profile showed that the message was read, but there was no reply.
Emilia was even more baffled.
She thought about it. The person had access to this information but only exposed it today. There were a few possibilities.
One, it was someone she knew, who was also deeply involved with Vivienne. They hadn't released the information before because they were on Vivienne's side, but for some reason, they had recently switched allegiances.
Two, it was someone on her side who had just obtained the information.
Three, it was a random bystander who stumbled upon the truth and was disgusted by Vivienne's antics.
Emilia pondered for a while but couldn't think of anyone who fit the description.
In the other cars, everyone had different reactions.
In Felix and Joyce's car, Joyce asked with confusion, "Brother, is this someone you hired?"
Felix shook his head as he drove.
Joyce was even more puzzled. "That's strange. Look at those photos from the hospital—they were clearly taken by someone who was there that day. And then they have Vivienne's medical records. It seems like it has to be someone close to us."
Felix turned the car around a corner. "I don't know. Maybe it was another patient who was there that day and has been following this closely ever since."
Joyce considered it and nodded. That was possible.
Christian's and Raymond's cars were now waiting side by side at a red light.
Both men were sitting in the back seat and opened their windows to talk.
Their first words to each other were, "Was that your guy?"
Then they both shook their heads simultaneously. "No."
Next, they asked in unison, "Do you know who it is?"
"No idea," they both replied together.
"Should we ask Theodore?" they then asked in perfect sync.
After this exchange, both men paused, slightly taken aback.
Just then, the light turned green, and their cars started moving at the same time.
They both silently retracted their gazes and rolled up their windows.
In Emilia and Theodore's car.
"Don't worry about it. Let's go eat first," Theodore said with a smile after replying to a message.
The party in the private room was getting lively.
While Emilia and her friends were celebrating, someone—or rather, some people—were not.
Vivienne's camp was claiming that the psychiatrist had taken money from Emilia and used AI-generated audio to slander Vivienne.
Vivienne herself only posted one follow-up message: I don't want to say much. See you at the charity sale tomorrow.
After that, it was Jack's team that took the lead in steering the public narrative.
Their core argument remained the same: Vivienne was already gravely ill and on the verge of death, suffering from immense physical and mental ailments.
In short, they were just creating chaos and doubling down on the lies.
They were also telling everyone to wait for the charity sale tomorrow.
Vivienne herself was on the phone with Jack.
Jack had been at his wit's end lately.
"Vivienne, I've really done my best," Jack said, sounding helpless.
He truly had done his best. With so many crises, any other team would have lost control long ago. The fact that they managed to find an excuse to turn the situation around every time already proved they were one of the most capable teams in the industry.
