Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 614

Back at Glenn Manor, the air was filled with joyous laughter and happy tears.

But miles away, inside the sterile walls of the hospital, the atmosphere was entirely different.

As the hours slowly ticked by, the journalists staked out in the lobby realized Israel had been missing for quite a while.

Sensing that something massive was going down behind closed doors, they started causing a scene, demanding that Israel come out and face them.

"Israel promised us an update!" one reporter yelled aggressively. "He can't just go back on his word!"

Overwhelmed, the hospital staff had no choice but to send someone to track Israel down.

At that exact moment, Israel was entirely occupied dealing with Vivienne's ridiculous theatrics.

Her blatant faking of a serious illness was absolutely sickening. Even as a mere bystander, Israel couldn't stomach it for another second.

When the hospital staff finally found him, he was loudly barking at Vivienne to shut her mouth.

Hearing that the press was demanding answers, Vivienne shrieked, "Tell them what? You can't tell them anything!"

Israel roughly peeled Vivienne's desperate grip off his arm.

"You don't even have the guts to own up to your own schemes?" Israel shot her a look of pure, unfiltered disgust.

Vivienne's eyes practically burned with hatred.

She was furious at herself for not acting sooner. If she had been faster, she would have dealt with Israel long ago.

How was a lowly assistant getting away with acting so high and mighty in front of her?

"Whatever happens, you can't tell them!" Vivienne snapped. "Emilia and I are still competing! Tyler wants me to win. If this gets out, how am I supposed to pull this off?"

Israel's response was to completely ignore her.

Vivienne always had an endless, exhausting list of excuses.

If he actually sat down and engaged with her twisted logic, he would never get any actual work done.

Israel was just an employee who wanted to do his job, eat his meals in peace, and clock out on time.

He made a mental note to casually suggest a massive bonus to Tyler later, just to compensate for having to endure this woman's sheer toxicity.

Without another word, Israel ordered a security guard to keep an eye on Vivienne and walked out.

He marched straight down the hall to Tyler's VIP ward.

*Knock, knock.*

Israel rapped firmly on the door.

A few minutes later, the door swung open again.

Chloe Erickson stormed into the room.

"Tyler, what the hell happened to you?" Chloe cried out, sheer panic flashing in her eyes.

Because this hospital was directly affiliated with The Erickson Group, the family had been notified the second Tyler was wheeled into the emergency room.

"Our grandparents are on their way, but I was close by, so I rushed over," Chloe said, her eyes red as she took in his battered, bruised state.

She glared at him. "This is because of Emilia again, isn't it?" she demanded loudly.

Why did both Tyler and Raymond have to be so completely obsessed with that woman?

Tyler ignored her completely. He just kept staring blankly at a spot on the wall, his expression hollow and steeped in raw despair.

"Tyler!" Chloe yelled, deeply frustrated by his silence.

Still, he didn't even blink in her direction.

Unable to handle being blatantly ignored, Chloe spun around and stormed out.

She slammed the door shut behind her with so much force that it bounced off the frame, creaking back and forth on its hinges in the quiet hallway.
