Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 638

Emilia stared down at Tyler, watching him beg like a broken man.

She wiped the tears from her eyes.

"You can't," she said coldly. "You could spend the rest of your life trying, Tyler, and you'd never be able to repay what I lost."

Some things, once broken, could never be put back together.

Silence swallowed the room once more.

Emilia clenched her jaw, her tear-filled eyes locked onto his.

"Hand Vivienne over. Now," she demanded. "If you have a shred of a heart left, stop protecting her!"

Seeing her unyielding resolve, Tyler knew further words were useless.

Everything else would have to wait until this nightmare was resolved.

He pulled out his phone and dialed Israel's number.

It rang twice before Israel answered.

"Where is she?" Tyler asked sharply.

Israel sounded completely panicked.

"She's gone," Israel said, the sound of keyboard clacking echoing in the background as he checked the security feeds. "I've locked down every exit in The Erickson Building, and we're scanning the cameras now."

Tyler had the call on speaker, and Emilia heard every word.

She shot to her feet.

In that split second, a million thoughts raced through her mind.

Was Tyler still trying to protect Vivienne? Did he let her escape on purpose?

He was completely untrustworthy.

And more importantly-she had to find Vivienne!

Without a word, Emilia spun on her heel and marched toward the door.

Tyler reached out to grab her hand, desperate to explain, but she violently yanked her arm away.

The force jerked his wheelchair sideways. By the time he stabilized himself, Emilia was already out the door.

Theodore was waiting in the hallway and immediately stepped forward to shield her.

"Do you have people available right now?" Emilia asked him.

Theodore offered a reassuring smile. "On standby."
