Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 659

Understanding Israel's hesitation, Tyler dismissed the medical team, ordering them to rest in the other room.

Once the door clicked shut, Tyler turned his sharp gaze back to Israel.

"What happened?" Tyler demanded, his eyes narrowing. "Did they catch Eugene?"

Israel shook his head, wiping the sweat from his forehead.

"Eugene knows the terrain too well. The area he fled into is a total maze—run-down slums, narrow alleyways, and abandoned buildings. We couldn't locate him immediately."

Israel took a deep breath to steady his racing heart. "So, we set up a perimeter and sent a strike team deep into the slums to search block by block."

"And then... and then..."

Israel swallowed hard. "We found Vivienne!"

Tyler instantly tried to lunge out of his wheelchair, but a sickening spike of pain forced him crashing back into the seat.

Ignoring the agony tearing through his spine, he gritted his teeth and snarled, "Where is she?"

Israel stepped forward to steady Tyler's chair, his voice trembling with excitement. "Our guys grabbed her quietly. No one saw a thing. She's securely locked up in the underground safe house right now."

"Good," Tyler said, his voice dropping to a glacial, terrifying whisper. A predatory, murderous intent flared in his eyes.

She had hired a hitman to run Emilia down. She had exploited the chaos to push Emilia down the stairs, murdering their unborn child. She had faked her illness and played him for an absolute fool!

Every single tragedy had been meticulously orchestrated by Vivienne Hargrave.

The crushing guilt and heartbreak he felt toward Emilia over the past few days had metastasized into an explosive, all-consuming hatred for Vivienne.

"Take me to her," Tyler commanded, his voice echoing like a grim reaper from the abyss.

"Right away!" Israel replied, his pulse pounding in his ears.

He immediately wheeled Tyler out to the private elevator.

Internally, Israel was thanking every god he knew.

It was a stroke of pure luck that they had never given up the hunt for Eugene. Because they had flooded the slums with operatives, they stumbled right into Vivienne's hiding spot.

As for who they were, she had a few guesses, but nothing was certain.

"Are you listening to me?!" she screeched, her mind racing for a way out. "Do you have any idea who I am? I am Tyler Erickson's woman! If he finds out you locked me up, he will destroy you!"

"Let me out!"

Just as she slammed her fists against the steel again, the heavy deadbolt echoed with a loud clack.

Click.

The guard pulled the door open.

Vivienne felt a surge of triumph, assuming she had successfully intimidated them. But then a figure emerged from the shadows.

First came the wheels of a wheelchair.

Then, Tyler's lethally cold face came into view.
