That afternoon.
Theodore had barely stepped back into The Glenn Group headquarters when he found a crowd blocking his office door.
"What is it?" he asked calmly.
The executives were pacing like nervous wrecks.
But Theodore remained entirely unfazed.
"Mr. Glenn, what exactly did you say to the press at noon?" someone immediately demanded.
Theodore simply shot the man a look, his expression making it perfectly clear—was there a problem?
"Mr. Glenn, you can't do this! You can't keep getting tangled up with Emilia like this!"
"Exactly! Mr. Glenn, you have to stop thinking with your heart and wake up!"
But Theodore completely ignored their pleas. "My relationship with Emilia is none of your concern."
Realizing they couldn't get through to him, one of them finally stepped forward. "Mr. Glenn, everyone is gathered. They are waiting for you in Conference Room One."
Theodore raised an eyebrow, then nodded. "Fine."
He didn't head over immediately. First, he took his lunchbox back into his office.
Secretary Vance was already waiting for him inside.
"Who's in there?" Theodore asked directly.
Secretary Vance knew exactly what he meant. "It's mostly the opposition faction," he replied. "My team has already mapped out their allegiances in detail."
Theodore nodded in acknowledgment. He gave a few brief instructions before finally making his way to Conference Room One.
The room was a chaotic mess of overlapping voices.
Countless executives were arguing until they were red in the face.
Ella and George were both out handling external affairs and hadn't returned yet.
He let them rant in circles before finally tapping his index finger against the mahogany table.
The room instantly fell silent as all eyes turned to him.
"First of all, I am very optimistic about the Aegis Dynamics project," Theodore began.
Someone immediately objected. "Mr. Glenn, this project is a complete failure! Stop trying to save face for Emilia!"
Theodore tapped the table a second time.
The man snapped his mouth shut.
"I've stated my position on Emilia many times before, and I will not change my mind," Theodore said smoothly.
"As for Aegis Dynamics, I do intend for The Glenn Group to enter the fray," he continued. "I've already had Secretary Vance arrange a meeting with Caleb Lewis this afternoon."
At those words, the room erupted into total chaos once again.
