He smiled down at me, "I really appreciate all of this."
"I was happy to do it." I pressed a short kiss to his lips and pulled him towards the table. "Let's eat."
Once we sat down I had taken the food from a picnic basket and plated our food, while Ryan pulled us a glass of wine, which I pretended to drink but only pour it into the soil. When we were done I pulled out the last thing in the basket which was a personal cake that was for Ryan but once he blew out his candles I was planning to devour it all on my own.
I placed the cake in front of him, "Make a wish." Without hesitation, he blew the candles out and at the moment he was able to see the message written on it.
Happy Birthday, Dad!
"Alex? W-What's going on?" He said looking back and forth from the cake to me.
"Sorry about that it was a mistake down at the bakery." I lied.
"Oh okay." He replied with disappointment and took a bite out of the cake.
Taking my fork, I scooped up a bite of his cake and placed it onto my mouth. Once I swallowed the rest of the cake I decided to finally take him out of his misery. "Sike, you're going to be a dad."
