Chapter 629 Treating Lynn to a Meal
Lynn wrapped her legs around Lucas‘ waist.
“Are you tired today?” he asked with a smile.
“Not at all!” she replied, kissing him.

He turned, opened the car door, and tucked her inside. Then he leaned down, enveloping her, and kissed
her back inside the car.
The next morning, Lynn found herself pinned down by Lucas, struggling to breathe.
She was exhausted. Last night, Lucas had poured her some homemade liquor from a neighbor, and before she’d finished the glass, he’d pushed her onto the sofa.
She couldn’t remember how strong it was. It had burned going down. At first she’d thought Lucas wouldn give her anything too potent, so she agreed.
The moment she took the first sip, she knew something was off. This stuff was at least 40% ABV, if not 50%.
She ignored it, figuring she was in a good mood anyway, but before she knew it, the alcohol had hit her.
She couldn’t remember when they’d made it to bed.
“Can I be thoroughly satisfied?” She remembered Lucas asking her.
He’d used the phrase “thoroughly satisfied” more than once. In Engster, he’d said he was thoroughly satisfied.
Lynn’s head was swimming from the liquor, and she’d actually said yes.
And now she couldn’t get out of bed.
Fortunately, John and others had keys. Otherwise, she’d have given them something to laugh about.
Lucas‘ lips landed on Lynn’s collarbone.
Her heart fluttered. She slowly opened her eyes.
Lucas was grinning, propped on his hands above her, his thumb stroking her cheek.
He said softly, “You promised last night to let me be thoroughly satisfied.”
“You already got what you wanted last night. What more do you want?” Lynn was annoyed at being woken from a good dream and hit his shoulder.
But to Lucas, it looked like she was pouting.
Lucas grabbed her wrists and pinned them above her head, his gaze intense. “You forgot. You fell asleep1/3

right after I gave you a bath.”
Lynn’s face grew flushed.
They’d gone at it on the sofa for a long time. Her thighs were still sore.
Lucas had carried her upstairs to wash. She seemed to have fallen asleep right after.
That liquor was too strong.
“You slept soundly,” Lucas teased.
Lynn struggled, but Lucas held her tighter.
“Not in the mood?” Lucas said.
“I’m going to wash up first,” Lynn said.
She scrambled up and ran into the bathroom.
She didn’t like doing it during the day. Lucas always wanted the lights on so he could watch her.
Just as she was about to close the door, Lucas stopped her.
“I’m washing up.”
“Me too.”
She’d thought Lucas had already gotten ready.
Turns out he’d just woken up, kissed every inch of her, and waited until she woke.
When Lucas came in, he locked the door behind him.

“Are you still going out?” Lucas asked, leaning against the bed and playing with her hair, a teasing smile on his face.
He was asking if she still wanted to go to the clinic.
Lynn, sitting up with her long hair cascading over her shoulders, glanced sideways at him.
She had never once in her life hoped her period would come early or leave late.
Since sleeping with Lucas, that feeling had only grown stronger.
Now, all her rules with him seemed meaningless.
By the time she reached the clinic, it was past lunch.

That afternoon, it was quiet. She was sitting in the rocking chair when Anton showed up again.
“Dr. Murphy! You’re here!” Anton walked in with the ease of a regular, carrying a basket of grapes.
Lynn struggled to her feet, aching all over.
“Hello, Mr. Willis.” She glanced at Bailey Gibson and signaled her.
Bailey was the nurse who’d gone with Lynn to Leonard’s house for the acupuncture. She was practically a junior doctor here.
Bailey caught her meaning. “Dr. Murphy, Dr. Warren was just looking for you.”
John inside heard his name and looked out in confusion.
“I’m coming.” Lynn tried to escape, smiling at Anton. “Mr. Willis, whatever you need, you can talk to Dr. Gibson.”
Anton tried to grab Lynn’s wrist to stop her. “Dr. Murphy, I came to see you!”
Lynn quickly pulled her hand back.
Bailey stepped between them, taking Lynn’s hand and pulling her behind her.
“Just say what you need to say,” Bailey urged.
Lynn frowned. Both Leonard and Anton were difficult to deal with.
Anton smiled and scratched his head. “Sorry. I was being too hasty.”
He set the basket of grapes on the table, stepped past Bailey, and said to Lynn, “Dr. Murphy, are you free tonight? Let’s go eat crab!”
Lynn smiled wryly, “No, thanks. My husband doesn’t like crab.”
“I’m inviting you, not your husband…” Anton stumbled over his words, suddenly awkward. “You’re married?”
Bailey sneered, “You didn’t bother to check before asking Dr. Murphy to dinner?”
Anton looked deflated.
Just then, Lucas walked in from the entrance.
Lynn froze for two seconds.
Lucas was wearing a leather jacket, a cigarette dangling from his lips, swaggering in like a hoodlum.
He frowned at the three of them.
