Over and over… She’d probably throw her phone after the first viewing, but she wasn’t about to admit that.
“Fine,” Harvey relented. “Come find me after the break. No essay, but you’ll answer two questions about the video. Get one wrong, and it’s half a month’s pay.”
“That’s brutal,” Dolores sulked, pouting again. “You really know how to hold a grudge.”
Harvey didn’t respond. As he turned to head inside, he realized his heart was beating a little faster than
usual.
“Go ahead in, Harvey,” Dolores said, nodding toward the house. “I’m still waiting for someone out here.”
She wasn’t quite ready to walk in with him just yet.

Chapter 864 Goodnight
“Have you had breakfast yet?” she asked him.
Zander nodded. “Yeah, I ate by myself.”
“Good boy!” Claudia hugged him close.
“What would you like to eat? I’ll bring it up. I just cut some fresh fruit downstairs–I’ll bring a bowl for Zander, too,” the nanny said.
“Anything is fine, thank you,” Claudia replied.
“Of course. I’ll be right back.”
Once the nanny headed downstairs, Claudia scooped Zander up and tiptoed toward Harold’s study. She eased the door open a crack and peeked inside.
Harold was intently carving a small seal, a slight smile playing on his lips.
“Ow-”
He suddenly pulled his hand back, set down the tool, and clasped his other hand over it.
Claudia, who had been quietly approaching, hurried to his side.
“What happened?” She reached for Harold’s hand.
Zander crowded in too. “Daddy, are you okay?”
Harold looked up at her, his expression serious, watching her worry–stricken face.
Claudia carefully opened his hand–and saw nothing. “Did you cut yourself…?”
Just as her concern peaked, Harold broke into a grin.
It was only then she realized he’d been messing with her.
Claudia swatted his shoulder, half annoyed, half amused. “You jerk!”
“What if I am?” Harold laughed and pulled her into his lap, planting a kiss on her lips.
“Stop it…” Claudia tried to squirm away.
He was being unusually bold in front of their kid.
Seeing Harold holding onto Claudia, Zander started pushing at him.
“Let go of my mommy!”
“Zander, get him! He’s picking on me!” Claudia giggled as Harold tickled her side.
At her command, Zander began throwing playful punches at Harold.

Chapter 864 Goodnight
“Little traitor,” Harold teased. He gently lowered Zander to the floor, then gave Claudia a quick, smacking kiss on the cheek right in front of the boy.
Claudia squirmed and laughed from the ticklish affection.
Zander scrambled back up.
Harold reached out, caught the boy’s small arm, and gently laid him down again.
“Still coming at me? You’re next.”

Claudia was no match for him. He captured both her wrists and pressed her back against the sofa, kissing her deeply.
She could only stare up at him, dazed.
Zander grabbed a couch pillow and swung it toward Harold.
Harold chuckled, reached over, and pulled Zander in too. Soon, both Claudia and Zander were side by side, playfully pinned under his arms against the cushions.

And on top of that, he’d driven Carson off. Like it or not, Carson was still her fiancé at the moment.
Too angry to speak, Dolores turned and marched back inside, leaving Harvey standing alone outside.
By the time Harvey returned indoors with Henrietta and Zander, his mood was visibly sour.
Harold could tell right away that Harvey must have run into Dolores–he just didn’t know why it had left Harvey so irritated.
Henrietta walked over with a small box of pastries Amanda had given her.
“Claudia, try one of these.”
Claudia was in the middle of making a pumpkin pie. She’d been getting pretty good at it lately. Without even pausing her work, she leaned over and took a bite of the pastry Henrietta held out.
“Mmm, that’s really good,” she murmured, pressing her lips together before taking another bite.
Henrietta smiled proudly. “Right? Amanda makes the best pastries.”
Harold noticed Harvey sitting off to the side, silently drinking his coffee. He set down what he was doing, walked over, and took a seat beside him, pouring himself a cup as well.
“Rough day?” Harold asked lightly.
It was pretty obvious Harvey was starting to care about Dolores–maybe more than he wanted to admit.
Harvey glanced at him, then over toward Claudia and Henrietta, who were now chatting happily as they shared snacks, completely unaware of the two men talking.
“Ran into that Carson guy,” Harvey said tersely.
Harold, who had just taken a sip of coffee, looked surprised. “He sure knows how to make an entrance.”
“Hmph,” Harvey snorted coldly. “And that girl’s no better. The guy showed up empty–handed and she still went running to him.”
“Empty–handed? And he had the nerve to come over?” Harold couldn’t help but chuckle. “So… did you tell her or not?”
