Honestly, we hadn’t been dating for very long, so his affectionate behavior was kind of surprising to me.

"Anyway, I’ll leave now," Jaguar said, turning toward the door.

"Do you always check on all your employees?"

Roman’s question stopped Jaguar in his tracks.

At that point, I just wanted both of them out of the house so I could take care of my own wounds, but they were both being stubborn.

Jaguar stopped, turned around, and looked at Roman.

The two of them stared at each other once again for a few seconds before Jaguar’s eyes shifted to me, then back to Roman.

"What the fuck was he doing here?"

I watched him in shock. I knew he could be aggressive, but I didn’t expect him to show his true colors so quickly.

"He said he wanted to check on me," I replied.
