Fated To Three, And I Broke Them All novel Chapter 130

Chapter 130: 130-Another Bitch In The Pack

Gigi:

Over the past five minutes, I had been standing, and not once had the old woman asked me to sit down.

Heck, I had come here to meet her, to welcome her, and she was acting like she was some big shot.

I kept a smile on my face even though tears threatened to spill from my eyes.

"Gigi, come on, have a seat," Theodore finally said, pulling a chair over for me.

I lowered myself onto it but kept my arms tucked tightly against my body.

That was my coping mechanism.

It was how I tried to control my anger while still appearing composed.

All the while, I couldn’t help wondering why the fuck I had to come here and introduce myself to this old lady.

She meant nothing to me.

Fucking nothing.

"So, you’re a beta’s daughter?" the old woman asked, making me smile and nod.

"And Ragnar acts like he’s such a big shot. I thought he’d have an Alpha’s daughter as his mate," she continued, gesturing with her hands to show just how unhappy she was to be talking to me.

My eyes shifted to Theodore, who motioned by dragging a finger across the bedsheet.

It was his way of telling me to just listen to her and not take her words seriously.

"Do you know her?" Lady Lucille asked, pointing at Jenna, who smiled and giggled as though I were some guy flirting with her.

What the fuck was wrong with this bitch? I had no clue.

"No," I replied softly. "Ragnar has never told me about her."

I added the second part deliberately, trying to sound as calm as possible while making it clear that Jenna wasn’t important enough for Ragnar to talk about.

"Well, her grandmother used to be my best friend," the old woman continued, reaching out and patting Jenna’s hand.

I was even more confused.

She wasn’t family, and she wasn’t a maid or a servant.

So why was her friend’s granddaughter sitting on the bed with her?

"Then her grandparents passed away. Their daughter got married, and I took Jenna in as my own granddaughter. Now she lives with me, and so do her parents."

The moment she said that, my heart shattered. My smile nearly slipped.

"Her parents leave for work, but she stays with me forever," the woman continued, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Jenna.

My breathing slowed. The rise and fall of my chest became almost imperceptible.

"You know, her grandmother and grandfather were Alphas. Sadly, after they passed away, their daughter couldn’t hold on to the pack. Then she married an Omega, which is why poor Jenna was born a Gamma."

Lady Lucille contradicted herself at every turn.

On one hand, she showered Jenna with affection.

On the other, it was obvious she looked down on the fact that Jenna’s mother had married an Omega.

Either way, I couldn’t understand why she was telling me all this.

I was the important person here. There was no reason to keep talking about Jenna.

"So, you’ve already met my favorite, favorite person of all," Jaguar said as he walked in, immediately resting his hands on the back of my chair while addressing Lady Lucille.

Her face turned sour at his words.

"Isn’t she amazing?" Jaguar continued, tilting his head toward me.

Lady Lucille reluctantly nodded.

My eyes shifted to Jenna, and I noticed where her attention was.

She had been staring at Theodore, but whenever he looked up from his phone, she quickly looked away, as if she had been stealing glances at him.
