Fated To Three, And I Broke Them All novel Chapter 223

Chapter 223: 223-Scared Her Into Silence

Gigi:

"Oliver, what happened last night?" I asked as soon as I saw him get home.

I knew he would go out for drinks after he successfully did Jenna.

"What?" he replied, sounding genuinely confused.

"Why did you ask the driver to leave Jenna stranded on the side of the road? Do you know she could have gotten lost? She could have been attacked?" I hissed, unable to understand how my brother could be such an idiot.

"I didn’t do any such thing," he defended himself immediately, sitting down on the couch. He looked exhausted. "I spoke to the driver, and he said Rochelle called him and told him to leave her there. So I don’t know. Your evil friend fucking left that poor girl in the woods."

Oliver sounded slightly annoyed by Rochelle’s interference.

So was I.

The fact that she had gotten the number of my trusted driver and called him to leave Jenna in the woods already showed she was trying to take too much control of the situation.

I mean, who the fuck did she think she was?

"Anyway, I’ll speak with her. This is unacceptable. You know she was so scared and crying when she called me. Goddess, what if something had happened to her? What if she had passed out? I don’t even want to imagine passing cars taking advantage of an unconscious woman."

I hissed as I recalled Rochelle’s face.

The fact that she could act so viciously while looking so innocent only made me angrier.

I hated the way she kept interfering in my life.

I didn’t know why she had to become a part of this whole game.

"Well, you’re one to talk."

Oliver’s taunt caught me off guard.

I looked at him, tilting my head, trying to understand what he meant.

"Are you telling me this?" I asked, pointing at myself.

"Uh-huh," he answered, nodding with a small smirk.

That smirk always annoyed me.

"What did I do? I’m the one who cares about Jenna getting home safely. I’m not like Rochelle, so don’t fucking treat me like her," I hissed, hoping he would realize his mistake and apologize.

Instead, he chuckled.

"You care about her?" he scoffed, raising an eyebrow.

"Why? Do you think I don’t?" I shot back, my jaw clenching.

"Oh, come on, Gigi. Let’s just be honest here. The reason she’s in such a bad state today is because you wanted her to be."

Oliver shook his head, letting out a quiet groan.

’Goddess, all the things I do for these people.’

I stared at him in silence.

"What is it? Why are you looking at me like I’m saying something completely unhinged?" he questioned, crossing one leg over the other as though he wasn’t enjoying this.

"I am the reason you have all this luxury, Oliver. And whatever I’m doing to that poor Jenna—" I began more aggressively, making air quotes around ’poor Jenna’. "It’s so our status remains intact."

I finished, but Oliver didn’t look the least bit guilty.

"And let’s not forget, you made the deal because you wanted Verity."
