Fated To Three, And I Broke Them All novel Chapter 365

Chapter 365: 365-Gone Girl

Gigi:

"What the fuck did you make me do? You told me she wouldn’t kill herself. You said everything would be fine. You said Jenna had moved on, that she was ready to study, that her life was going back to normal."

I stared at him as he started crying and throwing the blame at me like he’d had nothing to do with any of it.

As if he hadn’t enjoyed every second of it.

That was the moment I realized I’d been living with a fucking loser.

At this point, I silently watched his face as he went through a full-blown panic meltdown.

I kept staring at him because I really had nothing else to say. He was acting as though he were completely innocent.

So I let him deal with it for a while as I stood naked in front of him in his room.

At that moment, I realized how much I’d been missing Ragnar and the brothers.

They weren’t cheap like him.

I mean, after spending eighteen days completely without clothes while living with him, I was starting to feel dirty and nasty.

With a sigh, I left the room and searched through a drawer for a relaxant.

Then I returned with the pill and a glass of water.

He was sitting on the bed, his fingers tangled together while one leg tapped anxiously against the floor.

"Everything will be fine, Rocky," I told him.

"But she’s dead." Rocky looked up at me, then pointed toward the closet. "And fucking put some clothes on. Do you have no shame?"

This time, his words didn’t give me the same pleasure I usually felt when he disrespected or humiliated me.

This time, they genuinely struck a nerve.

I stared at him, clenching my jaw, then nodded.

"I will. First, please relax. As for her dying, I think it’s a good thing. You saw what happened to my brother, right? All because Jenna survived."

Once I put it that way, I watched some of the tension slowly leave his face, as though he were beginning to realize that maybe, just maybe, I wasn’t completely wrong.

But he was quick to shake his head and drag himself right back into his panic, as if he wanted to suffer.

"What if they get their hands on her phone?" he whispered.

Now that was something actually worth worrying about, but I decided not to let him know what I truly thought.

"They won’t. Don’t worry," I lied. "Diana definitely deleted everything. Remember the day she was leaving my house, when you first met her? I warned her to delete all the messages and everything else in the future, or her videos would be released. So don’t worry. You’re fine. She probably got rid of everything."

I kept going before he could interrupt.

"That’s why she ended her life. She didn’t want to be humiliated. Do you really think she would’ve left all those messages behind? Besides, nobody knows what she told her family about why she did it. If she’d told them she was being blackmailed, they would’ve tried to get her help instead of letting things reach this point."

I was talking completely out of my ass.

He’d already taken the relaxant, and soon he wouldn’t even know what I was saying.

All he needed right now was a convincing lie to keep him from falling apart.

So I told him whatever I thought might help, anything he could hear and feel reassured by.

And, briefly, it seemed to work.
