Fated To Three, And I Broke Them All novel Chapter 77

Chapter 77: 77-Accidentally Flashed

Jaguar:

"I’m heading back home, but I think my car is acting up. It might need some repairs."

All I needed was a few more hours.

"Oh, okay then. Once you’re done, you’re coming straight to my place. I’ve planned a movie night for us, and please don’t say no, okay? I really want to get my mind off all the stressful things," she requested.

"Okay, I’ll be there tonight," I replied in relief.

"Good. Then prepare yourself, and bring popcorn too."

She cheered and I laughed at that.

As she hung up, I heard her laughing on the other end one last time.

A few minutes later, I pulled into the gas station near the train station.

That was where I found Verity standing and waiting for me.

I watched her standing there as I slowed the car down.

She looked like she had come straight from heaven.

Waiting for me in the cold, she had her arms wrapped around herself, rubbing her elbows for warmth. The movement only made her breasts stand out even more.

I quickly reached for the perfume bottle and sprayed some on myself before finally pulling up beside her.

She opened the car door and climbed inside.

I parked along the side of the road.

It had started raining, though it was only a light drizzle.

The moment she sat down, her sweet fragrance filled the car.

"I hope I didn’t ruin your night," I said.

As I shifted in my seat, one hand resting on the steering wheel, I let my gaze travel over her from head to toe.

"No, it’s okay. I was already planning on heading back home," she replied.

Once again, she skipped over the fact that she had been on a date.

So that was true.

She had not brought up the date because she wanted to make me jealous.

She probably did not even know I had overheard it.

She had genuinely wanted to explore her options.

"Yeah, I know," I replied.

She frowned at me.

"How do you know that?" she asked.

The way she tilted her head made my heart beat faster.

"In case you haven’t noticed, I was sitting right next to you," I finally explained.

I watched her eyes widen, and a hint of embarrassment crossed her face.

"It’s okay. It’s not like I caught you cheating on me," I commented, glancing down before taking a deep breath.

"You said there was something important you wanted to talk about," she asked, like she wanted to only talk about important stuff.

"Um, I would like the data and information about the project you were talking about."

She started talking, and once again, she proved that she had absolutely no idea when someone was flirting with her or interested in her.
