Chapter 563
After several days of workshops and exchanges with the local art students, Rebecca followed Uriah to several remote island villages to study traditional Irish dance.
There were performances during those days, but Vance never appeared again. He must have continued onward, and his next stop was unknown.
Because the undergraduate students needed to return to classes, only Heather, along with one of Uriah’s other students, accompanied Rebecca to the villages.
The destination sat nestled between mountains and sea–a place few outsiders knew. At least, it had never appeared in any of Rebecca’s previous knowledge, and she felt a touch of nervousness as they approached
They arrived at sunset when the entire village glowed in warm orange light. The houses with their pink granite walls made the place feel like something out of a fairy tale.
There was only one entrance. Strolling between the pink–walled cottages felt peaceful and secluded, as if the rest of the world had disappeared.
Accommodations here were mostly family–run guesthouses. Rebecca, Heather, Uriah, and one male student stayed together in the same house.
“There’s a session every week here,” Uriah told them. “Top dancers come and perform improvisationally. Today, let’s just go experience it first.”
Rebecca and Heather were thrilled. They had never seen such a raw, authentic show before. They dropped their luggage, grabbed a quick bite, and followed Uriah to a pub famous for traditional music.
It hadn’t fully darkened yet. They sat inside, and each ordered a pint of local dark beer.
Rebecca normally didn’t drink, but the atmosphere felt perfect, so she ordered one, too. She took a sip and found it surprisingly
good.
Then they simply waited. What she hadn’t expected was to run into someone before the dancers even appeared: Vance and Anna. She had never seen him dressed like this.
The weather had already turned to early winter. He was bundled up, but the worn vintage leather jacket, equally distressed jeans, and sturdy boots gave him a wild edge. When he moved, one could almost smell cigar smoke and pine.
The pub wasn’t large, and there weren’t many customers yet. Rebecca and Heather stood out as foreigners. Vance spotted her
the moment he walked in.
After the initial shock, joy lit up his face.

“Rebecca? What are you doing here?” He strode straight toward her as if nothing uncomfortable had ever happened between them, like old classmates reuniting after many years.
Rebecca smiled at Anna behind him. “I came with my mentor for research.”
Up close, she noticed the loose, thick knit sweater under his leather jacket.
These things were never his favorite. He used to prefer proper suits and fine, fitted cashmere in winter. There had never bevia a hint of casual laziness about him
Anna’s outfit matched Vance’s style She didn’t seem bothered by the cold, just wearing a shirt uulet a subilar leather jas her with chains on her pants She looked effortlessly cool
Anna smiled at her warmly. “Nice to see you again”
Rebecca felt a flicker of surprise Would a girlfriend really be happy to meet her boyfriend’s ex wife‘ khu Anna & spulle locked

sincere.
Vance calmed down from the excitement and finally realized he might have been too forward. He politely greeted Uriah, then retreated with Anna to the table
