Five Years of Marriage to Mr. Bradford (by Koi Fish) novel Chapter 650

Now Vance was suddenly looking at schools in Arelmoor, which surprised Jethro deeply.

He put the notebook away casually. "My grandma says the country is so big. She's never really seen its mountains and rivers or watched the flag-raising ceremony. So, I'm planning to take her with me to college in Arelmoor."

Jethro couldn't follow that logic. "You can go sightseeing and watch the flag-raising during vacation. Why move there permanently?"

"You wouldn't get it," Vance said, shooing him off his seat.

"I really don't," Jethro muttered as he walked away. "And you said we'd go to the same college. Liar."

Vance suddenly thought of something and called after him, "Jethro, are you free during these time slots next week?"

He circled several slots on his schedule.

"Basketball?" Jethro assumed he was too busy with his grandmother's hospitalization. "It's fine. We've got it covered."

"Not that," Vance said. "During these times, can you check Rebecca's math and French homework and tests? Go over anything she doesn't understand with her."

"Wait, what? You want me to skip basketball to tutor her?" Jethro's mind was blown. "What is going on between you two?"

"I took her money," Vance said simply.

"Huh?" Jethro misunderstood again.

He knew Vance did part-time work outside school, but Vance was very proud. If someone discovered his financial struggles, he'd feel awful.

Plus, his grandma was in the hospital, which must have cost a lot. So, it made sense that he was tutoring Rebecca to earn money.
