Five Years of Marriage to Mr. Bradford (by Koi Fish) novel Chapter 695

Chapter 695

Hardly anyone believed Rebecca could win.

When Jenny found out, she showed up with an armful of French reference books.

“Girl, if you’re competing, it’s like I’m competing,” she said emotionally. “The two of us together can definitely take down Catherine!”

Her hatred for Catherine was undisguised.

She had come to help write the speech. Rebecca found it hilarious. Out of the entire grade, including the teachers, the only

person who believed she could beat Catherine in the speech contest was Jenny.

Well, Darren did too.

“You have that much faith in me?” Rebecca asked.

“You’re pretty.” Jenny nodded.

Rebecca froze, and Jenny laughed. “Just kidding. No matter what you do, I’ll support you unconditionally. Right now, let’s write the speech.”

“I have already finished it.”

“Then I’ll help you practice.”

Rebecca pointed at her throat. “My voice is already hoarse. If you really want to help, buy me bubble tea.”

Jenny dashed off immediately.

Darren came over and sat in front of her. “All set?”

“Just how close are they?” Rebecca asked curiously.

“Except for the boys‘ bathroom, she follows him everywhere,” Jenny grumbled. “And that idiot Jethro is always helping her out.

“How did they even become friends?” Rebecca asked again.

Given Vance’s slow–to–warm personality, it seemed impossible for him to accept a new friend so quickly, especially a female transfer student.

Vance’s grandmother has monthly checkups,” Jenny sighed. “Well, Catherine’s mother just happened to be the new doctor transferred to that hospital. That’s how they met.”

Rebecca felt like she’d been hit over the head.

It was still the hospital and the old lady. The wheel of fate was turning and couldn’t be stopped.
