Chapter 734
As Vicky continued her account, the atmosphere in the meeting room seemed to freeze.
Javier’s expression grew darker and darker. The other two leaders also became increasingly serious.
Fabio sat on pins and needles. He tried several times to interrupt, but was silenced each time by Vicky’s stern glare.
“I have watched the complete video,” Vicky said. “Because it involves a female student’s privacy, I will keep it confidential for now. However, there are still many aspects of this incident that need to be investigated thoroughly.”
Fabio immediately put on a sincere face. “It’s my fault. I didn’t investigate carefully and didn’t realize the video had been edited.”
“No!” Rebecca said through tears, as if she had only now gathered the courage to speak loudly. “I told you, but you didn’t believe me.”
The muscles on Fabio’s face twitched. “How could I not believe you? Even if I had doubts, I would still investigate, wouldn’t I?”
“You wouldn’t!” Rebecca’s voice trembled, as though she were summoning great courage. Investigating
would mean looking into yourself, right?”
“Rebecca Perry!” Fabio erupted in anger and embarrassment, losing his composure. “You’re still young You must take responsibility for every word you say!”
Rebecca shrank back.
Vicky encouraged her, “Rebecca, speak up. Don’t be afraid.”
“I have evidence for everything I said.” Rebecca moved closer to Vicky, feigning fear. “I have Beatrice’s complete chat records and transfer screenshots. She was acting under someone’s instructions–under Catherine Welch’s instructions. And Catherine was transferred to our school with your help!”
