Chapter 63
The blanket on her body fell apart onto the snow–covered ground.
The cold air around her body made Isolde shiver.
“When Rowan threw something towards you, you shielded your stomach first thing.”
At those words, Isolde’s breath froze.
She hadn’t expected Vincent to be so observant.
As expected of someone who had been a father, it seemed that Vincent should have done his homework when Doris was pregnant.
But as things stood, what did it have to do with Vincent if she was pregnant or not?
She’d made up her mind not to have a baby.
There was no need for Vincent to know about a child that was not destined to come into the world!
Isolde calmed down and raised her head to look at Vincent.
The man’s eyes were dark and sharp, as if he wanted to see through her.
Isolde does not hide or avoid, lightly said, “I just have my period today my stomach is a little uncomfortable.”
Vincent looked at her, attempting to see a crack in her eyes.
But Isolde is too calm.
His voice didn’t carry a trace of warmth, “You better not be lying.”
Isolde snorted, “What? Are you afraid I’ll sneak in a child to compete with Rowan for the position of Williams family heir?”
“Isolde,” Vincent’s large hand gently stroked her flat belly, “It’s for the best that you’re not pregnant.”
“You’re just sick!” Isolde pushed his hand away from her hard, trying to get away from him, but her wrists were still firmly restrained by him.
“Vincent you let go of me!”
Vincent doesn’t let go and stares at her annoyed look as he continues to test, “The last time I threw up in the

hospital, you said that you had intestinal discomfort, but it was actually pregnancy sickness, right?”
“I can’t understand what you’re saying!”
Isolde couldn’t push him, so she simply raised her hand and directly slapped Vincent!
Slap!
The crisp sound of the slap was mixed in the whistling wind and snow.
Vincent was slightly stunned, completely not expecting Isolde to actually make a move.
Isolde took the opportunity to push him away and picked up the blanket that fell on the ground to wrap
herself.
A few steps away, she looked at him with cold eyes.
“Vincent what makes you think I would want to carry your child?”
Vincent pressed the tip of his tongue against the beaten side of his cheek and looked at the woman a few
steps away.
The wind and snow blurred each other’s vision.
He heard Isolde’s cool, emotionless voice:
“It’s a deal between us, isn’t it? If it’s a deal, then what do you think you’re doing?”
“What makes you think that I would be so cheap as to rush to give you a child when you are using me as an
outsider to defend yourself!”
“Vincent, listen, I’m not pregnant! Even if it was an accidental pregnancy, I wouldn’t keep the child! Because,
you don’t deserve to have me give birth to your child!”
Vincent’s face sank a little with Isolde’s words.
Isolde looked at him coldly, “Have you finished asking what you want to ask?”
Vincent was silent.
“I’m done with what I have to say, I have a clear conscience after coming this far between us.”
“Vincent, I hope that from now on we don’t have anything to do with each other, if we meet by chance, just treat us as strangers.”
Isolde finished her speech and turned around to pull open the car door, getting into the car without any

hesitation.
And this time, Vincent did not pester.
He stood there, his cold face hidden in the wind and snow, no one could see his complexion at the moment.
‘Bang‘
The car door closed, isolating the snow and wind that filled the city.
Isolde patted the snow on the blanket, her vaguely trembling body slowly relaxing.
She eyed the front with a scant look, “Karina, let’s go.”
Karina subconsciously looked out the window.
The man didn’t move a muscle, and had no intention of stopping again.
She secretly breathed a sigh of relief and released the brake to turn the car around.
The car drove forward, fading into the wind and snow.

In the hospital, Mrs. Michelle’s office in the obstetrics department.
“The last surgery was canceled, the blood bank’s reserve blood has been used, because it’s a rare blood type, if we re–report the application, it will take a week at the earliest, this has to be told to you first.”
Isolde is a rare blood type, relatively simple and safe abortion surgery for ordinary people, in her case all need to be cautious again and again.
“Please apply for me.” Isolde said, “Surgery in a week.”
“Okay, here’s the ultrasound that was just done, you’re at just over seven weeks, there’s little damage to the mother at 12 weeks, except, the fetus now has a fetal heartbeat.”
Michelle handed Isolde the just done ultrasound report, “Both gestational sacs have a fetal heart, dizygotic
twins, very rare.”
Isolde didn’t take it.
She didn’t even have the courage to look at the report.
Karina stood beside her and took the report sheet for her.

“Ms. Michelle, my friend and her ex–husband are no longer likely to get back together, and she doesn’t want her child to be born and grow up in an incomplete family, so I’m also going to trouble you to arrange for her surgery as soon as possible.”
Michelle, however, said, “For the surgery, I think Ms. Isolde should still consider it carefully, because this examination report also found some problems with Ms. Isolde’s uterus.”
Upon hearing this, Isolde raised her eyes and looked at Michelle and asked, “What’s wrong with my uterus?”
Michelle pushed down her glasses and said, “It’s just a preliminary judgment, I would suggest another negative/ultrasound would be clearer.”
As soon as Karina heard this, the prognosis in her mind as an OB/GYN was not good.
But it was Isolde’s body that was at stake, so there was no room for sloppiness.
The exam was performed by Michelle herself.
The results were not good.
“Congenital thin uterine lining is usually more difficult to conceive, you are still having twins, if you insist on
having it done, the damage to your uterus will definitely not be small, which may directly lead to difficulties
in conceiving in the future, you are still young after all, I am suggesting that you reconsider.”
Isolde lowered her head and didn’t say anything, the fists of her hands resting on her knees were clenched
tightly.
Karina glanced at Isolde and asked Michelle, “Teacher, wouldn’t it be okay if you were to lead the surgery yourself?”
“This is a congenital defect, it can be said to be a miracle that she can naturally conceive in this case itself, and generally this kind of patient, even if the conception is successful, the first trimester also needs to undergo standardized fertility preservation work, but these two fetuses of hers are developing quite well at the moment, and it’s the first time that I have encountered a twin fetus that can be conceived naturally in this kind of case of hers, even after so many years of being in the medical profession……‘
”
Michelle looked at Isolde, who had been keeping her head down as she spoke.
She cleared her throat, knowing full well that she was not at liberty to say any more.
“Anyway, in her case even the best attending surgeon can’t guarantee it, maybe she’ll be the lucky one in a million of patients with congenital thinning of the lining, who knows.”
Karina understood, she nodded, “Ms. Michelle I understand, I’ll take her back first, I’ll talk to you when she’s made her decision.”

Michelle responded. “Yes, talk to her properly.”
Coming out of Michelle’s office, it was already completely dark.
The blizzard was still going on.
The hospital’s promenade is lit up.
The light falls and shines on Isolde’s pale face.
Her eyelashes trembled, and she suddenly hooked her lips, wanting to smile, but tears came out first.
Karina looked at her, her eyes full of worry and heartache.
“Isolde, it’s okay, the big deal is that I’ll accompany you to raise the baby when it’s born, if you don’t want to be found out by Vincent, I can accompany you to a foreign country, we’ll take Auntie Alexa and immigrate
abroad, or live in a different city!”
Isolde shook her head, tears flowed fiercely, but her eyes were cold and determined: “I don’t want, I don’t want to give birth to his child!”
