Forced Marriage: My Wife, My Redemption novel Chapter 436

Chapter 436: Accept an order for wedding dress design...

~Four Weeks later~

Jessica’s therapy sessions had been scheduled for twice a week and for the last four weeks, she had been making tremendous progress after each.

A few flickers of the past could now be recalled, though they vanished after a brief moment and she couldn’t recall them by herself.

But at the moment, she could now dissociate dreams from memories. She felt content and happy, brimming with hope.

Maybe in a few days, weeks, or just a few months she would be able to recover all and probably not intermittently anymore.

Like every other morning, this day had started on a perfect beautiful note for Jessica.

Waking up beside the man that mattered to her, spending a good time together before seeing him off to work.

She returned to the nursery, spent some time with her kids but with the weather bright, the breeze cool, perfect for a stroll in the garden.

With that, Jessica decided to take a stroll in the garden in the company of her kids.

Over time, they had come to bond with her and were now more accustomed to her presence. Taking a glance back, all the stress and pains were worth it. Maybe this was the actual life she wanted.

A simple life.

A happy home.

A set of adorable kids.

A caring and protective husband.

Whilst lounging on the recliner, her thoughts drifting off and on, her phone’s shrill ringing tore through the silence.

Jessica snapped out of her daze, her hand sliding across the phone screen. "Hello?"

Richard’s calm voice filtered over the speaker. "How are the kids doing?" he asked.

A soft smile curled up Jessica’s lips, her gaze doting as she glanced at the two cuties on each of her side.

"Beautiful." She smirked, her heart bubbling with sweetness.

"That’s good." Richard paused before continuing. "Are you now ready to go back to work?"

"What happened?" she asked, sitting upright. She could feel the urgency in his voice from the slight tremor which he thought he had concealed well.

"An order." Richard clipped.

"Well, I am always available. Though I cleared my schedule to help me bond with my kids, even at this time, I can still work."

"Alright, I will send in the details of the order," he hesitated, "and the order is quite urgent."

"Urgent?"

"Very urgent."

"Alright, let me see the details and decide." She ended the call and before she could catch her breath, her phone dinged with a notification.

She swiped her fingers across the phone, unlocking the message, her eyes widening. "What?"

As though they could read her expressions, the babies beside her giggled.

Jessica glanced at them, gently patted their heads. "You don’t laugh at me, otherwise...be careful you don’t see me again until I get this design done."

Their lips pouted as they stared at her face feeling wronged. They couldn’t help but wonder, "Does a little smile now mean to be abandoned again?"

Jessica laughed, she switched on her phone camera and captured their little faces. "Mr. Davis, do you by any means know these children?" She captioned the photos and sent them to Davis.

Retracting her gaze from the children, Jessica studied the mail Richard had sent over.

"A wedding gown, thirty million dollars, to be delivered in two months." She read aloud.

As a designer, she had always received orders and design requests with high prices and short durations of delivery but then she was single, unlike now.

Jessica nodded. "Just for a brief moment. Get someone to take these inside," she instructed.

With the children cradled in her arms, she made her way into the main house, Deborah following behind.

~Moments later~

Jessica stepped out of the house dressed in a simple jean trouser and a black polo, a simple sneaker, her hair dancing in the wind gave off her elegant youthful vibe.

Behind her was a maid with a well-packed thermos in her hand courtesy of Deborah nagging her.

"I will bring the car over," she said and stepped into the courtyard.

"Yes ma."

Jessica took a deep breath and walked over to the garage, her eyes carefully scanning the cars parked in there. Her requirements for this morning were just a simple car unable to attract attention.

Carefully, she made for one of the customized cars. With a click of her keys, the car beeped to life. Her lips curled up with a bright smile.

Just then, a special guard stepped forward. "Ma’am, you are going out, I will drive," he said.

Jessica shook her head in denial. "No need to drive, I’m driving myself today," she answered.

"But, it wouldn’t be advisable as Sir had already instructed you not to drive yourself."

A soft smile curled her lips. "You don’t have to worry about that, I will reach him," she retorted.

She pulled the door open and slid into the car, buckled her seat belt as she flashed a bright smile to the guard.

Carefully, she made her way out of the garage, stopping at the doorstep. The maid handed her the thermos, which she carefully secured on the passenger’s seat.

With clear precision, she made her way out of the compound.
