Forgotten Wife My Ex-Husband Regrets It After I Left (Clara and Liam) novel Chapter 200

Sienna’s POV

The way Liam was looking at me made me want to keep my eye on him and not took away. Then his fingers, having just brushed my cheek, slowly traced my jawline with an indifferent love I never expected to reciprocate from him again. The touch was simple, but it felt like unlocking old doors I had kept closed for years.

“I just wanted to let you all know. I am glad we got here.”

linhaled slowly, attempting to control the slight shaking in my chest. “What’s going on?” I asked with a screechy voice, feeling both fearful and hopeful.

Taking in the air, as though deciding what to say, He said, ” This is more than just an address, Sienna. It’s a state. This closeness. Our presence without the coldness and proximity.”

I shut my eyes for a moment, trying not to let my emotions take over. The absence of communication, the lack of connection, misunderstandings, and minor wounds were all we had encountered. We didn’t talk about it much. The solitary morning was priceless and marked a new beginning.

At last, I whispered that I was pleased.

Liam smiled. The smile was soft and warm, not the docile one he used to give. He moved closer, but he didn’t put intoo much pressure on me. His movements were sluggish and cautious, as if he was concerned about my safety slipping away.

Moving a few centimeters closer than I did, it was enough to change his face. His eyes softened, as if granted himself permission to move on.

He posed the question, “Do you have the courage to do this?”

I didn’t bother to ask what he meant. His hand was delicate, touching my back and his fingers delicately encircling mine. I sensed him holding a delicate object. My breath swelled as the heat from his skin spread over me.

I smirked with a barely noticeable smile. But he saw it.

Liam squeezed my fingers softly. Suddenly it was as if the world had shrunk down to just him and me. Our lungs, our heart, and the morning sunrise dancing on the walls.

He whispered, with his gaze fixed on our hands, “I can’t recollect when I was last tranquil.”

I glanced down at our hands. “I can’t recall either,” Ireplied.

Once again, silence lingered, but it didn’t seem awkward.

It was warm. We were not alone in our silence, it was the kind of silence.

I felt Liam gently lift my face. “Sienna.””Hm?”

“I want to fix things. Not just today. Not just in small moments. This time, I am determined to give it my all. If you’re willing.”

My heart tightened. The sound was reminiscent of something I had been waiting for, but never entertained.

It felt like an eternity ago. It sparked anxiety about the idea of over-enthusiastic anticipation. However, relief, emotion, and warmth remained for me even after all this time.

“I chimed my lips,” I expressed, “My desire is to give it a shot.”

Relieved, Liam closed his eyes for a moment. When he opened them again, they seemed brighter, lighter, and happier.

“Thank you,” he whispered.

I muttered, “Don’t show me appreciation.” We’re just starting again.”

He exclaimed with a smile. “That’s the most enjoyable part.”

I observed that my hand was still inside Liam’s. I was about to retreat, but Liam held his ground as if saying,” It’s fine, just like that. We face this together.”

Trying to hold my breath, I swallowed up.

With a soft voice, I said, “Noah, sweetheart.”

Despite my attempts to explain, Liam quickly joined in. He sat face up against the headboard, holding onto my hand.

Liam said,

“we just talking.”

The way he spoke was so calm, there seemed to be no surprise in our wake-up call. He felt the same way.

“Oooh, you’re talking,” Noah nodded quickly, as if he knew what arithmetic physics meant.

Like any typical child, he had a quick thinking response.

No problem.

“Was there any news of the cake being delivered to you yesterday, Mom?”He exclaimed, “Mommy is a master of baking!”
