Forgotten Wife My Ex-Husband Regrets It After I Left (Clara and Liam) novel Chapter 235

Siennas POV

Perhaps this is what it signifies to start over yet warmly.

Gradual yet genuine. Today I sense that I’m building a fresh life with my small family.

I scoop soup as Liam quietly asks, “Are you feeling nervous?”

I looked at him somewhat amazed, by how he grasped what I was thinking.

“A bit,” I replied truthfully. “I guess this is the occasion I’m genuinely making progress. It seems like that.”

“Breaking free from your comfort zone?” Liam completed my thought, his expression conveying all the things I hadn’t spoken aloud.

I breathed out agreeing with a nod. “Yes. I’ve always written for myself. To calm my emotions. Now others will see it. Evaluate it. Judge it.”

My grip on the spoon grew firmer. “A part of me still fears that I’m not adequate enough.”

Liam stroked his chin thoughtfully before replying.” Sienna, you constantly undervalue your abilities.” He leaned forward slightly, his tone quiet yet firm. “I’ve witnessed your strength throughout how you persisted, even when life nearly shattered you.”I gazed at him. His words seemed like an embrace that didn’t brush my skin yet still filled me with warmth.

“A creation originating from that will possess power.”

He gave a yet steady smile. “The readers will sense it.”

For an instant I was at a loss, for words. I simply stared at him, allowing his words to resonate thoughts I had never been bold enough to consider on my own.

Noah lifted his hand up.

“I think Mommy is incredible!” he exclaimed proudly, causing both of us to chuckle quietly.

I tousled his hair. “Thanks, my little one.”

Noah swelled his chest with pride. He seized his toast.

Sank a huge bite so large that crumbs scattered across his uniform. I nearly reached out instinctively to tidy him up.

He was quicker than me. He dusted off his clothing yet the crumbs ended up strewn all over the floor. Ah the challenges of motherhood truly never cease.

Liam acted as if he hadn’t seen it shifting his spoon and stifling a chuckle.

“Why not have a day off today?” he abruptly proposed.

. Faced him once more. “A day off? What’s the reason for the change?”

“Since positive news calls for a celebration,” he remarkednonchalantly. “You might want a quick break, before stepping into the publishing industry.”

He hesitated before saying, “I can bring Noah to school.”

I offered a smile. “That’s amusing. You believe I deserve a celebration.”

” believe you merit a celebration,” he amended, as though that difference held importance.

I glanced aside briefly not due to a lack of embarrassment or perhaps precisely because I was embarrassed. That warmth spread through my chest more climbing up to my throat. For a long time I had felt undeserving. Listening to someone trust me more than I trusted myself was unusual. Yet enjoyable. Extremely enjoyable.

I pushed the soup bowl in Liam’s direction.

“Let’s have our meal first. We can consider the celebration afterward.”

“Once we’re done eating we can start brainstorming,” he answered promptly.

If I previously wrote merely to get by, perhaps now I will write for the life l aspire to have.

Liam and Noah were the first to finish their meal. I was still tidying up some plates when they both got up simultaneously. Noah took hold of his backpack that I had packed the previous evening while Liam slowly slipped on his jacket, tiredness still evident, in his gaze.

“Is Noah ready?” I inquired as l adjusted his collar.

Noah smiled with pride. “All done, Mommy! finished all my food!” He gestured at his plate as if it were a major victory to be applauded.

1 Neatened his hair slightly. “Well done. Stay safe at school alright?”

“Um-hm!”

Liam came over to us carrying his car keys and items needed for work.

“We’re leaving now.” His tone was low, somewhat raspy.

Somehow it caused me to gaze at him a bit more than necessary. He appeared tidy as usual yet slight dark shadows were visible under his eyes.

I gave a nod. “Okay. Wishing you a day.”

He stared at me briefly with a look I couldn’t completelyinterpret then said,

“You well. Take it easy with your work today.”

His voice carried a trace of worry that caused my heart to race quickly.

Abruptly Noah pulled his hand.

“Dad, hurry up! I don’t want to be tardy!”
