Forgotten Wife My Ex-Husband Regrets It After I Left (Clara and Liam) novel Chapter 245

Sienna’s POV

Liliana laughed quietly.

“That’s because you have a habit of doubting your abilities.

” She reclined in her chair. “Do you recall when you initially gave me your writing to review? You apologized in advance as though it was bound to let me down.”

I gave a smile. That night came back, to mind clearly my hands shaking as I hit send my heart racing while anticipating a response that seemed like a judgment.

“i was afraid,” I confessed. “Afraid that I didn’t measure up.”

“At this point?” she inquired softly.

I stopped, considering the blend of feelings, within me.

“Now I’m still frightened,” I admitted at last. “Not due to doubting my ability. It’s more because I realize this is important. I don’t want to mess up.”

Liliana gave a nod as though that response was completely logical.

“Feeling that fear is completely natural. It shows that you care.” She grinned. “Trust me you’re not isolated. I’m here for you. There are people who stand by you.”

My mind naturally wandered to Liam and Noah. To thecomfort of home, to mornings to encouragement 1 no longer needed to plead for. A gentle thankfulness gradually occupied the places I once filled in solitude.

“I’m happy you came today,” I expressed earnestly.”

Without you I could have been overwhelmed by my mind.”

Liliana chuckled quietly. “That’s the role of friends. A short

-term spot to rest your mind when it’s overloaded.”

We chuckled softly not boisterously, but sufficiently to relieve the strain. Through the window the afternoon sunlight started to slant, throwing extended shadows over the café floor. Time continued onward. For the initial moment that day I didn’t sense being pursued by it.

I came to understand a crucial truth, my life was no longer trapped in a phase of waiting. Waiting for another person to select me. Waiting for conditions to get better. Now I

was progressing gradually, maybe still unsure but advancing with my determination.

She nodded gently, her smile shifting from playful, to one filled with comprehension. She leaned her elbow on the table supporting her chin with her hand observing me as though confirming that I genuinely felt okay and wasn’t just pretending to be strong.”You see,” she said softly, “being stable doesn’t imply everything is resolved. Occasionally it simply signifies that you’re, at last, on ground that won’t waver despite there still being much surrounding you that remains uncertain.”

inhaled deeply letting each word sink in. They held a truth one I somehow only fully grasped now. For a long time I believed happiness required certainty, a defined partnership, a carefully arranged future, a life free from interruptions. Perhaps happiness could arrive beforehand in brief pockets of peace, like this.

I moved a little in my seat sensing a weariness that no longer overwhelmed me, just the usual exhaustion following a day.

“I expected to return with my mind heavy and my chest constricted,” I confessed. “Now it seems weightless.”

“That’s because you didn’t escape,” Liliana answered. “You confronted everything today. The meeting. Emily. Your own emotions. That’s growth, Sienna.”

I gave a smile. “In the past I would have come up with a reason to delay matters. Acted as if everything was alright until l burst on my own.”

“And you are, confessing that you’re exhausted, confessing that you’re afraid yet you keep pushing ahead.

” She lifted an eyebrow. “See? This side of you is more resilient.”I chuckled quietly not due to humor. Because hearing that from someone who’s known me since before I dared to envision my future brought an odd sense of comfort.

Liliana had witnessed every facet of me, the furious self, the one close, to surrendering and yet she continued to support me unwaveringly.
