From a Wrong Turn to Mr. Right novel Chapter 347

As soon as the words left his mouth, Olivia Bennett’s satisfied expression froze on her face.

She puffed out her cheeks, shooting Ethan Carter a decidedly unimpressed look. “So, what, you just bought it?”

Ethan blinked, glancing down at the bracelet in his hand. Olivia’s eyebrows shot up. “Wait. You made this?”

“Is that a problem?” Olivia huffed, crossing her arms. “You don’t think I could make something like that?”

She stared him down, eyes narrowed—as if daring him to say yes, ready to snatch the bracelet away at the first sign of doubt.

“No, not at all,” Ethan backtracked instantly, his voice gentle. “It’s just… I’ve never seen you make one before, and honestly? It looks amazing. Better than anything you could buy, so I couldn’t tell.”

Nice save, he thought. And he’d managed to compliment her in the process.

A quick flash of a smile crossed Olivia’s face before she grabbed his wrist, her gaze searching. “Do you like it?”

Even if she hadn’t made it herself, Ethan would have treasured anything she gave him. He didn’t hesitate—he nodded. “I love it.”

“I told you I’d give you a reward, remember?” Her voice was soft. “You’ve got everything you could ever want, so I figured I’d make you something myself. It’s not expensive, but it’s from me.”

Her words were barely more than a whisper, but they hit Ethan right in the heart.

Before he could answer, she cut in, her tone suddenly firm, “It might be a small thing, but it means a lot. You’re not allowed to complain.”

Ethan looked at her, his eyes shining like the brightest stars, his smile warm and gentle. He couldn’t imagine wanting anything more than this.

He brushed his thumb across the bracelet, then met her eyes, his voice steady and sincere. “This is exactly what I wanted.”

Something she’d made for him—priceless. Nothing from any fancy store could compare.

Olivia’s face lit up. “I’m glad you like it.”

Ethan leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. “When did you make it?”

“Beautiful,” Ethan said, his voice completely honest.

Olivia grinned, then placed her hand next to his. “They’re a matching set.”

Ethan laced his fingers through hers, holding her tightly, warmth spreading through his chest like sunlight. He felt both full and a little breathless, as if he were being wrapped up in something soft and wonderful.

He leaned in and pressed a kiss to her cheek before whispering, “I love you.”

The words seemed to echo between them, deep and sure.

Olivia’s eyes went wide for a second, her heart skipping. She felt like she’d just bitten into something impossibly sweet.

She smiled, lips curving, and replied, “I love you too.”

Ethan cupped her chin, and as Olivia tilted her head, he found her lips, kissing her softly but with an intensity that left her breathless. She kissed him back, eyes fluttering closed, completely lost in the moment.
