From Best Friend To Fiancé (Savannah and Roman) novel Chapter 183

**Dreams Folding Into Broken Time**
**Chapter 183**

“Roman—” I attempted a laugh, a light-hearted reminder that we were in the confines of his office, but it quickly morphed into a breathy moan as his hand ventured higher, settling on the gentle curve of my thigh.

He effortlessly lifted me onto the desk, sending a flurry of papers cascading to the floor. My heart raced as his palm glided beneath my skirt, exploring the sensitive skin of my inner thigh, inching further until it slipped beneath my panties. A shiver ran through me, and I instinctively clutched his shoulders, my body arching toward him, craving more.

“God, I want you,” he growled, his breath warm against my collarbone, igniting a fire within me. He tugged down the collar of my shirt, his teeth grazing my skin, sending a jolt of electricity through my body. I fumbled with his belt, desperation coursing through my fingers as I struggled with the zipper. The bulge underneath strained against the fabric, and I rubbed him through the material, feeling heat surge through me like wildfire.

His fingers teased me, slick and relentless, making my head fall back in pleasure. “Roman—” My voice was a fragile whisper, laced with need. Somewhere between the sensation of his teeth on my skin and my frantic attempts to undo his zipper, the words slipped out before I could catch them. “What if… what if we—”

He silenced my question with a kiss, devouring me hungrily, his thumb pressing harder against me until a cry escaped my lips, echoing in the charged air.

Suddenly, the door swung open without so much as a knock.

I froze, my heart plummeting. Roman paused just enough to register the intrusion, though his body remained a protective barrier against the desk. My head whipped around to face the doorway.

There she stood. A woman, bold and unapologetic. She didn’t bother to knock; she simply walked in. That alone sent alarm bells ringing in my mind.

“Am I interrupting something?” she asked, her lips curling into a smirk as if she had stumbled upon this scene countless times before.

Roman’s head dropped onto my shoulder for a brief moment, a string of curses spilling from his lips. I caught the first one, a frustrated, “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.”

She stepped closer, confidence radiating from her like a weapon. “You didn’t answer my text, so I decided to barge in. You know me.”

Before I could even process the moment, she leaned in, wrapping her arms around him in a tight embrace, planting a kiss on his cheek as if I were invisible. My stomach churned violently. The ease with which she moved around him was infuriating, and I felt an overwhelming urge to either vanish or yank her hair out.

Roman exhaled slowly, a low, controlled breath. “Yes, I do.”

Then he turned to me, his gaze shifting. “Sav, meet my friend—”

Only then did she finally direct her piercing blue eyes toward me, extending a perfectly manicured hand with a practiced smile. “I’m Penny.”
