From Best Friend To Flancé
Chapter 494
For a healthwat, I didict release het.
Then the voice sank in. San’s voice.
1 let go.
Bella collapsed instantly, sliding down the wall, coughing violently, clutching her throat as air rushed painfully back into her lungs.
I turned sharply toward Savannah, anger still burning, still searching for somewhere to land.
$571
She took a step back.
Fear flickered across her face before she could hide it. That look cut deeper than anything else had.
The second maid rushed forward, kneeling beside Bella, whispering something frantic as she helped her breathe.
“Roman,” Savannah said softly, carefully stepping closer. “Calm down. Please.”
Her hand reached for my arm again. Warm. Hesitant. Grounding.
I stared at her fingers where they touched me. “I can’t,” I admitted hoarsely. “I can’t seem to control it.” The truth felt ugly leaving my mouth.
“Please.” Savannah said, eyes glistening.
“I’m certain she’s also the one who left that photo hanging up there.” I pointed. “Don’t be deceived by the fake tears, Sav.”
I looked back at the girl on the floor.
“I want to wrap my hands around her throat until this anger disappears.” The words weren’t a threat this time. They were a confession.
Bella lowered her gaze to the ground, voice shaking but steady in intent. “I know I deserve it.”
My jaw clenched.
“I deserve anything you do to me, sir.”
Something in my chest twisted, but not enough to soften the rage. “Good,” I said.
“You can kill me,” she continued, still not looking up. “I won’t fight you. I won’t beg. It’s probably what I deserve.”
Her fingers trembled against her neck, red marks already forming beneath pale skin.
“But I am sorry,” she whispered. “I regret what I did. If I could go back… if I had a choice… I would never have done it.”
My hands curled into fists so tight my wounds throbbed. I looked away.
“Get out of my sight.” The command came quiet, final.

Chapter 494
The arrand mald unlped her stand hella staggered ines, then found her since. Neither of them dared tak pain fury gatheret they had dropped.
Then they left
The door Clased behind them with a soft lick
silence swallowed the room.
I tried to breathe through the fury still raging inside me. Tried to force air into lungs that felt too tight, too small for the storm trapped within
my ribs.
It didn’t work.
My hands trembled uncontrollably. My pulse pounded in my ears. Each be hurt,
A sharp pressure spread across my chest, forcing me to move, Slowly and carefully, I walked to the bed and lowered myself onto it, one hand pressing against my sternum. My chest hurt.
I kept my face neutral. I wouldn’t let her see weakness. Not now.
Savannah hadn’t moved. She stood where she was, staring at the door Bella had disappeared through, her expression distant, almost vacant- like someone who had just realized the shape of a nightmare they hadn’t known they were living in.
Then she spoke, voice barely above a whisper. “I didn’t know.” She swallowed, still not looking at me. “I only met her two weeks ago… when !
arrived here.”
Her words came slowly, as if she were assembling them from scattered pieces.
“She was the one who delivered the dress Randall gave me-” She stopped abruptly.
The shift in her body was immediate. Stiff. Alarmed. Regretful. It was clearly obvious that she hadn’t intended for me to find out about this.
My head snapped up. The pain in my chest vanished beneath something far more consuming.
“Randall?” I repeated quietly. The name tasted like poison on my tongue.
My perverted brother bought her a dress. He bought a dress for my woman. My fiancée.
For Savannah.
Something dark and dangerous surged through me, eclipsing the fading remnants of restraint.
All hell was about to break loose. Again.
