“I want to be your wife, to walk beside you through every joy and storm life brings. I’ll never let go of your
hand.”
Her voice was soft yet unwavering, tears streaming freely down her cheeks.
They were tears of happiness. After all the pain, she was finally free and at peace.
They exchanged rings. The cool platinum bands slid onto their fingers, yet somehow felt warm, as if they sealed their hearts together.
“Now, the groom may kiss the bride.”
Zaden cupped Athena’s face tenderly, as though holding something priceless, and kissed her with pure affection.
The crowd broke into cheers and applause.
In the front row, Fabio watched his daughter and son–in–law embrace, quietly brushing away tears from the corners of his eyes, his face glowing with pride and contentment.
Preston and Kit clapped enthusiastically too, genuinely glad their sister had found her joy.
Harriet looked the proudest of all. After all, she was the one who’d played matchmaker for Athena and Zaden!
She was their ultimate wingwoman.
Watching Athena and Zaden finally reach their happy ending, Harriet was so overwhelmed she almost burst into tears.
She tried to speak, but her voice cracked, and she ended up crying anyway as she wiped her eyes.
Every guest was touched by the couple’s story. After all the twists and turns, they’d finally found their peace. The entire room radiated warmth and affection.
Sunlight streamed through the stained–glass windows, casting a golden glow over the newlyweds like a blessing.
All their pain was behind them now, and what awaited was a long life filled with joy.
Zaden held Athena tightly. Athena leaned into his embrace.
They exchanged smiles, seeing no one else but each other.
Zaden pulled her closer and pressed a gentle kiss on the crown of her head.
Athena closed her eyes, resting her cheek against his chest, listening to his steady, reassuring heartbeat.
This was everything she had ever longed for.

Not grand gestures or chaos, but calm and enduring love. Not a distant dream, but warmth she could reach
and hold.
Everything before this was just the beginning.

From here on, her heart had found its home. The future promised only light and love.
(Athena and Zaden The End)
That day, Athena left work earlier than usual.
On a whim, she decided to pick Teri up from school herself–after all, it was her birthday.
Athena suddenly realized another year had passed; she was two years older now.
Two years ago, on this same day, she’d discovered Lewis betrayal and endured one of the hardest times of her life.
Zaden had also managed to come home early that day to celebrate Athena’s birthday.
Teri was over the moon to see both her parents waiting for her. She chattered nonstop in the car, sharing funny stories from school.
Athena listened intently, laughing out loud every now and then.
Zaden drove, glancing at the cheerful scene in the rearview mirror, his eyes full of happiness.
That night, Athena cooked dinner at home. She made something tasty yet healthy.
Since Athena’s accident, Zaden rarely allowed her to cook. She was now Mrs. Storm, after all, and he didn’t want her lifting a finger in the kitchen.
Every once in a while, Athena tried to prepare something for Zaden and Teri.
But the two always protested. Teri would even scold her dad for “making Mom work too hard“. In the end, Athena couldn’t bear seeing Zaden get blamed, so she just went along with it.
The atmosphere at dinner was cheerful and light.
Even Fabio from the neighboring villa came over to join them.
Of course, Athena’s best friend Harriet was there too, along with her two brothers, and even Jaylee dropped by. Jaylee was now a certified doctor.
She no longer worked as Athena’s assistant.
