Miriam pulled Virginia aside. “Don’t worry, I’ll talk to the two of them again in a bit.”

The moment she heard that, Virginia’s expression eased into a smile. “Thank you for understanding. Tyrone is turning twenty- seven this Christmas, and he and Aella have been engaged for so long. They’re perfect together. I just feel like they should get married first, then let everything fall into place. If they can have a child too, that’d be even better.”
Aella happened to overhear her mother’s conversation with Virginia.
She brought Tyrone upstairs and went into the main bedroom on the second floor.
Once they entered the room, Aella asked with a serious expression, “Tyrone, am I being too selfish?”
She had been thinking only about her own career goals and had not considered the pressure on his side at all.
Tyrone pulled her onto his lap and leaned in to kiss her lips.
Looking straight into her eyes, he spoke calmly, “This is between us. As long as we talk it through and decide together, that’s all that matters. Everyone else is just worrying unnecessarily.”
Despite his reassuring words, Aella still felt unsure.
Ever since they had gotten together, Tyrone had always been the one giving in, always putting her first.
She remembered one time she fell sick during a tour in Halvaria. The moment he found out, he had taken an overnight flight just to be with her.
He worked while taking care of her and didn’t leave until she had fully recovered. Only then did they fly back together.
Later, she heard from Noel that Tyrone had walked away from a billion-dollar deal mid-negotiation and flown out overnight just to take care of her.
Every holiday, as long as she was busy, no matter how packed his schedule was, he still made time to be with her.
When she toured with the orchestra, Tyrone had also been the one taking care of her parents and Clyde the entire time.
When her parents fell sick, when Clyde was in school, when her father’s company ran into trouble-anything related to her was handled personally by Tyrone.
He treated her so well. How could she bear to put him in a difficult position?
Aella wrapped her arms around his neck and spoke softly. “Tyrone, let’s just go with the flow. If we do end up having a baby, I’m willing to get married and focus on the family.”
They looked at each other, Tyrone pulled her into a tight embrace, his chest tightening with emotion.
He spoke firmly. “Aella, listen to me. Let’s wait another two or three years. We’ll get married once both our careers are more stable.”
In her first life, Aella had willingly given up everything for him.
In this life, she was still ready to do the same.

Being a top violinist had been her dream since she was young. He couldn’t become the reason she gave it up.
Aella asked worriedly, “Will it really be okay if we keep delaying it?”

The last time she went home, she had heard her parents mention that if Tyrone got married and had children, it would help the company’s stock price.
That was likely one of the reasons his family kept urging him to tie the knot.
After discussing it, Tyrone and Aella decided to get married three years later-when he turned thirty.
As for having children, Aella wanted to let nature take its course.
Even though Tyrone truly wanted a child with Aella, he had no plans for one right now.
To him, nothing mattered more than her career.
A little after eight that evening, they returned to the apartment.
As usual, Tyrone bent down and placed the slippers by Aella’s feet, helped her put them on, then neatly set her shoes on the rack.
Aella liked how carefully he took care of her.
She slipped her arm through his and spoke in a playful tone, “I made a big boss like you stay in this small apartment with me for four years. Do you ever feel this is unfair at all?”
Tyrone wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her close.
Their eyes met.
The way he looked at her was filled with warmth and longing.
He answered quietly, “I got lucky to have the chance to be with you. I only feel happy.”
He didn’t feel wronged.
He didn’t feel tired.
What he feared was that one day she might regain her memories, look down on him, and leave him again.
Now that Aella had graduated, she no longer needed daily lessons or to worry about commuting. They could move back to Bluehaven.
Tyrone spoke after thinking it through. “Tomorrow, I’ll have someone come pack everything. We’ll move back home.”
He had lived through three lifetimes, and in that house, he had waited for her through all of them.
