Chapter 334 Garage Rescue
Chapter 334 Garage Rescue
Riley’s expression hardened. She knew reasoning with people who’d lost their minds was pointless.
Her gaze darted toward the elevator bank nearby.
A direct confrontation wasn’t an option–she had to get out, now.
In that split second, she turned and sprinted for the elevators.
“Think you can run?” someone shouted from behind.
The crazed group immediately took off after her.
The elevator doors were just ahead.
Riley slammed the call button, her heart racing. Please, just open.

But then the heavyset man with the box cutter snapped. With a furious yell, he lunged from the side and swung the blade straight at het face.
“Let’s see how pretty you are with that face sliced up! Then even Lucas will toss you aside like trash!”
His twisted features looked grotesque under the garage’s dim lights. The tip of the blade loomed larger in Riley’s vision–too fast,
too close.
She was trapped: cold concrete at her back, the glint of steel in front of her. Nowhere to go.
This is it…
Riley shut her eyes and threw her arm up instinctively to shield her face.
But the pain never came.
Time seemed to suspend.
In that instant, a solid, reassuring presence stepped beside her–like an unshakable wall, cutting her off from all the danger.
୮
A low grunt, then the faint sound of blade meeting flesh, right beside her ear.
Riley’s eyes flew open.
What she saw was Sebastian’s strong, defined hand gripping the man’s wrist–the one holding the cutter. The sharp edge had bitten deep into Sebastian’s palm.
How did he get here?
Bright red blood welled along the cut, dripping steadily down the blade.
The attacker froze, stunned. His sure–thing moment had just been wrecked by someone coming out of nowhere.
He stared blankly at the stranger.

The man looked like he’d stepped out of a magazine–sharp features, intense eyes swirling with a chill that could freeze a soul. Everything about him radiated authority and polish, the kind that comes from years in command. Just standing there, he made people want to step back
Who… is this guy?
The heavyset man’s mind raced/ Every survival instinct told him to retreat, but his crazed stubbornness pushed him to demand why this man was protecting Riley–was he her boyfriend or what?
Before he could utter a word, several figures in dark suits moved like shadows from the dim corners.
In a flash, they had his arms twisted behind his back, a knee planted firmly into his spine. With practiced efficiency, he was facedown on the rough concrete, cheek scraping against the ground, pain flaring hot.
When he managed to look back, he saw his friends had already been subdued silently by the other suits. No chance to resist.
To keep any more ugly remarks from upsetting Riley, the security team swiftly pulled out rolls of duct tape and sealed every mouth shut.
“Mmph… mmph…”
The shouts dissolved into muffled grunts.
The whole garage went from chaos to silence in seconds.
Sebastian’s eyes turned icy. He drew a handkerchief from his pocket, pressed it calmly to his bleeding palm, and spoke quietly to the lead guard. “Take them away.”
He paused, his cold glance lifting toward the security cameras mounted on the garage ceiling. “Then inform building management. Tell them intruders exploited a security gap to harass a resident/Have them handle the fallout.”
“Yes, Mr. Torres.”
The team nodded and moved out, efficiently hauling away the still–struggling group. In moments, the only two left in the cavernous space were Riley and Sebastian.
Only then did Riley feel like she was waking from a bad dream.
Her stiff body loosened; her heart still hammered against her ribs.

She looked at the tall figure before her, at the handkerchief quickly darkening with red. A delayed wave of fear–and something else, a complicated ache–washed through her.
“Your hand!”
Riley snapped back to herself. Without another thought, she hurried forward and gently caught Sebastian’s injured hand.
His palm was broad, his fingers long. But now, a vicious gash ran across it, the skin split open. Though the bleeding had slowed, the vivid red still stung her eyes.
“Are you okay? Does it hurt badly?” Her eyes warmed with tears before she could stop them.
