Chapter 222 First Walk Gone Wrong
SUMMER.
Tonight was going to be lit. I had my dresses lined up, beautiful dresses that would look perfect on me. I had already tested them many times and told my designer to fix any mistakes because I would be in the spotlight. Of course, it was only normal for me to get the necessary things done.
Every other girl could not compare to me tonight; none of them came close, not even including your so–called Queen.
I also had plans for that one; the thought made me smile.
“Is there something that’s making you happy, my lady?” the lady helping with my makeup asked.
“Oh, there are a lot of things that are about to make me happy, you’re doing my makeup well, my dresses are going to be perfect, and I have some plans set in place for some people, you know. All in all, it would be a wonderful night.” I told her.
“Im glad that you’re happy, my lady, because I’ve noticed that you’ve been dull for the last few days, and I didn’t like it,” she said as she put the spray on my face to complete the whole look.
“Oh, the past few days have been quite depressing. I’ve been looking forward to this event, though, because it’s the night that I’ll have the best laugh of my life.” I said, and she modded.
“Im glad. Look at how beautiful you are, my lady. It’s time to fit into your dress,” she said.
“Get the dresses and spread them out on the bed,” I told her, and she scrambled off to do it.
I took my phone and called the person who would carry out my plan.
“Okay, what’s up? How’s the fitting going?” I asked.
“It’s going quite well, I’ve put everything in place for the dress to do its work,” he said.
“Are you sure? I don’t want to hear it didn’t work out later; you won’t get your payment if that happens.” I said.
“I know that my lady, and you know that I don’t play with my payment, which will only make me do better,” he said.
“Good. Do a good job, and then maybe I’ll give you other jobs.”
“Thank you, my lady, you won’t regret it,” he said, and I hung up.
Now, all these things are going to look like a mistake, I mean, everybody knows that plus–sized women always get something wrong with their dresses, so that it won’t be a surprise, it’ll just happen, even though it will spoil the image of the guy, the designer, that’s why I was paying him a hefty sum to make everything go away.
“Here are the dresses.”
“Alright, the first one I’m wearing is the blue one. It looks so nice. Help me into it.”
We used the next thirty minutes to get the dress well situated on my body. It took a while because I requested the dress to be extremely snatched, and it was, so the waistband had a bit of an issue coming up my hips, even though I was skinny. That was how
snatched I asked for it to be.
“Now wear the silver heels for me and get me the purse.”
“Yes, my lady.”
The door opened the backstage lady peeped in.
“My lady, you’re up next. All the models have walked for this designer,” she said, and í smiled.
“Oh, I’ll be there shortly.” After we were done, I walked outside, and I stayed, hearing compliments on how beautiful my dress was and how angelic I looked. Of course I did. I looked around and didn’t see Eloise; she wasn’t walking for this designer, so I wasn’t expecting to see her here.
I walked onto the stage, taking my time and then smiling. The spotlight was on me, and my amf people were clapping, only for the audience to suddenly get rowdy. Security men rushed down the stairs, and people bowed.
“The King is making his way in; everybody should bow in respect.” The MC’s voice boomed through the speakers.
“What the hell?” I shrieked.
Why would he come in when I was walking? Was this a planned work? I didn’t have any choice but to actually bow in this dress, and it made it uncomfortable. He walked to the high table, sat down, and the security men took their positions.
Now it was all ruined.
What the hell?
After the crowd settled, there was no more appeal about my walk. I finished the distance I was supposed to walk with a frown on my face and went backstage.
