Chapter 220
Julia’s POV
“Mark me, Alpha,” I whispered, the words escaping before I could second–guess them.
Matthew froze against me. He slowly lifted his head, his eyes meeting mine. The intensity in his gaze made me shiver, but I didn’t look away. I needed him to see my certainty.
“You’re sure?” His voice had dropped to a growl, deeper than his normal tone. I watched amber bleed into his eyes as his wolf, Hati, pushed forward. “This isn’t reversible, Julia.”
I nodded, holding his gaze steadily. “I’ve been sure since graduation,” I said softly. “But then so much happened…”
My words trailed off, but I knew he understood everything I wasn’t saying.
With a guttural growl that sounded more beast than man, Matthew surged forward, entering me with such sudden force that I gasped, my body tensing at the unexpected intensity. The restraint he’d shown moments before had shattered completely, replaced by primal need that took my breath away.
“Matthew–wait,” I managed between shallow breaths, my fingers digging into his shoulders as my body struggled to adjust to his size and fervor. “Slow down…”
He stilled momentarily, his breathing ragged against my neck. I could feel him trembling with the effort of holding back. “I’m sorry,” he whispered roughly, pressing his forehead against mine. “I’ve wanted this–wanted you
-for so long.”
Despite the initial discomfort, I felt a wave of heat building low in my belly, my body responding to his passion in ways that surprised me. When he began moving again–slower this time, but with no less intensity—I moaned softly, the friction creating sparks of pleasure that grew with each careful thrust.
“Yes,” I breathed, my initial resistance melting away as my body surrendered to the mounting sensation. My fingernails traced paths down his back, encouraging him.
As we moved together, I felt a connection building that went beyond the physical. Kaia was howling in my mind, calling to Hati. I could sense their communion as our mental link strengthened, our consciousness beginning to blur at the edges. Matthew’s eyes had fully changed now, the amber glow reflecting on my skin, making me feel
claimed even before the mark.
“Hati can’t wait to mark Kaia,” Matthew managed between ragged breaths, his voice barely recognizable.

Chapter 220
I smiled up at him, feeling Kaia’s response as my own eyes flashed gold. My hands moved from his shoulders to his hair, pulling his face closer to mine. The rhythm between us intensified again, his control slipping as my body had fully adapted to his. Each powerful thrust now sent waves of pleasure radiating through me, building toward something monumental.
“More,” I gasped, surprising myself with my own demand. “Don’t hold back.”
The permission was all he needed. Matthew’s movements became deeper, more forceful, yet precisely controlled to bring maximum pleasure.
As we approached the peak together, Matthew lowered his head to my neck. “Now?” he asked, his voice rough with
restraint.
I arched my neck instinctively, exposing the vulnerable spot where my pulse beat rapidly under my skin. “Yes,” I gasped. “Mark me.”
With our bodies still joined, he bit down on that sacred spot–not a normal kiss, but a wolf’s mark. Sharp pain lanced through me as his teeth broke the surface of my skin, but it almost instantly transformed into a wave of pleasure so intense it took my breath away. The sensation triggered a climax more powerful than anything I’d ever experienced, my body and mind surrendering completely.
In that moment of total abandon, our mental barriers dissolved entirely. I could feel everything Matthew felt–his devotion, his protectiveness, his awe at what we’d created together. And I knew he could sense my emotions too- my joy, my relief, my love for him after years of believing I was unworthy of such a connection.
I turned my head and bit down on his neck, marking him as mine just as he had marked me. Matthew’s surprised gasp turned to a groan of pleasure as our bond cemented in both directions, completing the circle. As his release flooded me from within, an instinct as ancient as our kind took over.
Heat from the mark spread through my body like wildfire, each cell recognizing and accepting his claim. Our connection, which had always been a tentative thread, suddenly became an unbreakable cable binding us together. I could sense his thoughts, feel his heartbeat as clearly as my own.
I’d never felt this complete, this overwhelmed. It was as though I’d been living half a life, and suddenly everything
made sense.
Carefully, Matthew licked the mark, cleaning the small wound and soothing any lingering pain. I could feel it already beginning to heal, forming what would be a permanent scar–a visible symbol of our bond that all wolves
would recognize.
“I can feel you,” I whispered, my voice filled with wonder. I reached up to touch my temple. “Not just here.* Then I
