From Outcast to Overlord The Unyielding Heir
Chapter 178 The Walsh Family From Listin
Leander stared at the villa, which was once so familiar to him, then pulled out his phone.

He was planning to have Frankie look into the whereabouts of Monica’s family when suddenly, a woman’s voice called out from behind him.
“Leander?”
He slowly turned around at the sound.
Ginny stood there in a breezy summer outfit, her face filled with surprise as she looked at him.
It had been nine months since she last saw him. Plenty had happened while Leander was away.
She assumed he would never return to this city again, but now, he was standing right in front of her–alive and well.
“You’re finally back.”
Her voice carried emotion, tinged with the weight of time. It was a far cry from the willful, sharp–tongued girl Leander remembered from before.
“Yeah.”
Leander nodded calmly, then pointed to the villa behind him.
“Do you know what happened to Yvette’s family?”
Ginny’s eyes flickered. After a moment of silence, she sighed and nodded.
In a downtown Starbucks, Leander and Ginny sat across from each other.
Ginny looked downcast, barely sipping her coffee. “I last saw Yvette here.”
She added, “You’ve been gone for nine months. That’s a long time.”
Leander leaned against his chair, saying nothing as he waited for her to continue,
Ginny held onto her mug and spoke. “Maybe it doesn’t matter to you anymore, but you should know that after Yvette discovered your identity and that you were the mysterious person who saved her, it hit her hard.
“After that day on Glidewing Mountain, she broke up with Colin. She threw herself completely

into her studies, using them to numb herself and to stop thinking about you.
“She really, truly liked you. So much so that even she couldn’t believe it herself.”
As Ginny spoke, Leander suddenly raised his hand.
“Alright, all of that isn’t really the point. What exactly happened to the Sitwell family?”
Ginny paused for a moment before finally speaking.

“It all happened about two months ago. At the time, we had just finished our SATS. Mr. and Mrs. Sitwell noticed that Yvette was always downcast, so they brought her along to a banquet to cheer her up. But it was that very banquet that caused the Linsky Group’s collapse.
“At the banquet, a wealthy young heir from Listin took a liking to Yvette. He openly approached Mr. Sitwell and proposed a marriage. Of course, Mr. Sitwell refused, and Yvette showed him no respect either. The party ended on a sour note.
“At first, we all thought that would be the end of it. But just a few days later, the Linsky Group started coming under joint attacks from multiple large corporations. Their supply channels were cut off on all fronts. In just over a month, construction sites everywhere were forced to shut down. Government departments even came in and sealed off projects, leading to multiple, abrupt project closures. As of last week, the Linsky Group was done for.”
Ginny’s face was filled with sympathy. “Mr. and Mrs. Sitwell tried to sell their villa to make up for the financial losses, but the deficit was just too big. It barely made a dent. Well, that brings us to the current situation right now.”
After listening, Leander’s eyes narrowed slightly, and a cold smirk played at the corner of his lips.
“This was the doing of that so–called heir from Listin, or the people behind him, wasn’t it?”
Ginny immediately nodded.
“Yes. It was Alfie Walsh, the heir from Listin. He became obsessed with Yvette–so much so that it was almost pathological. After being rejected at the banquet, he didn’t back down. Instead, he mobilized his family’s power and coordinated with several corporations to attack the Linsky Group, forcing her family into bankruptcy and leaving them with nowhere to go.
“His goal was to break her down and make her his possession.”
Though anger filled Ginny’s heart, the more she spoke, the more a chill crept into her bones. A man so twisted and dangerous that he could launch a full–scale business war just because of a personal grudge, forcing an entire family into ruin, was truly terrifying. Insane, even.
“Alfie Walsh?”

Leander frowned in thought. He had never even heard of that name before.
He looked up, a bit puzzled. “Since you guys already knew who I was on Glidewing Mountain, why didn’t Yvette get Mrs. Sitwell and the others to ask Frankie for help when the Linsky Group was under attack from the big corporations?”
Ginny shook her head and sighed. “Yvette didn’t tell anyone about what happened on Glidewing Mountain, not even her parents.
“When the trouble with the Linsky Group started, I advised her to seek help from Frankie, but she wouldn’t listen.
“She said you had already repaid all your debts to Mrs. Sitwell, and the only debt left was what her family owed you. She didn’t want to bother you anymore.
“A few days ago, she went to Listin. Alfie made a condition: if Yvette agreed to marry him and become his woman, he would leave her family alone and return the Linsky Group to Mr. Sitwell.
“Yvette was willing to sacrifice herself to bring peace and prosperity to her family.”
At this, Ginny couldn’t hold back her tears. After all, Yvette was her best friend.
Yvette had always been proud, but now she was willing to sacrifice herself and marry someone she didn’t like. Heck, she even hated him, but she wanted to save her family.
Ginny looked up at Leander, who was already standing and heading toward the door.
“Leander, can’t you save Yvette? Please, only you can save her! I’m begging you!”
She quickened her steps, gathering all her courage to grab Leander’s arm. It was the first time in her life begging someone like this.
Leander turned back indifferently, a strange expression on his face.
“If you want me to save her, then why are you holding me back and wasting time?”
At his words, Ginny’s eyes lit up with joy.
The Walsh family behind Alfie was a powerhouse in Listin, one that practically dominated the region. But she had seen with her own eyes the immense, world–shaping power Leander wielded–something no ordinary person could possess.
She believed that with Leander on their side, even ten Alfies combined wouldn’t stand a chance.
“Alfie Wash, the sole heir of Listin’s Walsh family, eh?”

On the top floor of Jeff Enterprise’s skyscraper, Leander looked at the files Frankie had just brought in and scoffed coldly.
“Mr. Ashcroft, the Walsh family of Listin has a longstanding repertoire. Their ancestors were once bandits but later served the founder with great merit, earning a special status in Listin. Their resources and connections cover half the town. They’re known as the top family of Listin, with a status and strength even higher than the Halloway family, which is the top family in Mornwick,” explained Frankie.
“Is that so? Does that even matter?”
Such a giant didn’t even deserve Leander’s attention. A cold gleam flashed in his eyes, murderous intent rising.
“How dare they mess with Mrs. Sitwell and her family? I want to see exactly how much weight this so–called family carries in Listin.”
