A youthful tone broke through in that tense moment, catching everyone off guard. They turned to see who had spoken. Jamero’s face paled in fear as he realized it was Leander rising from his seat. He wanted to intervene but knew the moment had passed.

Leander walked over to Frankie, worry flashing across Frankie’s mind. What’s Mr. Leander thinking?!

He had wished that Leander would exit first. Even if trouble came his way, at least Leandrix Corp. would remain secure under Leander’s guard. As long as Leander kept a low profile, Gumus wouldn’t have any reason to target him.

Yet, Leander had decided to take action. The moment Gumus spotted him, they would struggle to escape Maplebrook Manor.

Gumus looked puzzled, trying to understand why this selfassured young man had suddenly shown up at such a critical moment.

Meanwhile, Bryce’s eyes lit up with interest. At the peak of his cultivation as a Martial Master, he was bewildered by how this young guy, no older than seventeen or eighteen, could see through his cultivation level.

Leander stood beside Frankie and gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder, complimenting, Frankie, you’ve got the right idea. Working under me takes guts! It’s okay to lose when you’re up against an enemy, but never give in. That’s how I roll.

His tone was calm as he met Bryce’s threatening gaze and continued, Plus, I don’t think anyone can take me down.

Frankie felt a wave of confusion, thinking, Why is Mr. Leander saying such bold things now?

Bryce frowned, turning his attention to Leander. Kid, what’s your name? You seem to know a thing or two about martial arts. Are you a martial arts practitioner yourself?

Though Bryce asked, his tone made it clear he expected an answer, as if Leander had no choice but to respond. Gumus observed silently, his cold demeanor hinting at curiosity about Leander’s identity as his confidence suggested he held a greater status than FrankieFrankie was merely a subordinate, oblivious to his identity.

You’re not worthy to ask who I am,Leander replied coolly, his words blunt and devoid of politeness, ignoring Bryce.

Hearing this, Frankie, Jamero, and the others went pale. Bryce was an influential martial

practitioner who had bested countless martial practitioners from the Mornwick martial arts academics. His strength was terrifying; even firearms posed no danger to him. Frankie had never had the nerve to speak so boldly when Bryce threatened him.

Leander boldly confronted Bryce, fully aware he was treading a perilous line. The deadly knife in Bryce’s hand was no toy.

Are you looking for trouble?Bryce’s expression darkened with anger. Leander had insulted him not once but twice.

He thought, After cultivating inner strength and returning to Mornwick, I’ve earned respect everywhere I go. I’ve built the thriving Bolt Arena and have VIPs like Gumus bending over backward to invite me. How dare this kid look down on me?

Though Leander’s reference to Martial Masterraised doubts about his identity, Bryce wasn’t afraid. He had his own master backing him. Yet, Leander’s disrespect was intolerable. Even if he didn’t kill him, he needed to show him who was in charge.

With a fierce swing of his arm, Bryce unleashed a puncha blow far more potent than Jamero’s, capable of shattering bones. The impact reverberated throughout the room, aimed directly at Leander.

That punch could easily put Leander in the hospital for a year.

Everyone held their breath, the tension thick. Frankie’s heart raced as he wanted to step in and block the punch for Leander, ready to risk everything to protect him. He simply couldn’t bear the thought of witnessing Leander’s demise.

However, Bryce’s punch was too swift. Before Frankie could react, Bryce’s fist was mere inches from Leander’s chest.

The room held its breath; everyone assumed Bryce’s strike to knock Leander away. Just then, Leander moved. He raised his right hand, pointed a finger, and gently tapped the air before him.

Poof. A faint sound erupted as if something had been punctured, and the immense force aimed at Leander abruptly vanished.

Bryce’s expression shifted to one of astonishment and disbelief. His face froze as he stumbled backward, collapsing to the floor with a hole the size of a fingertip appearing between his eyebrows.

In his final moments, he had no clue how he had met his end.

The room fell into stunned silence, everyone unable to process what had just happened as the oncearrogant Bryce, a Martial Master, lay lifeless on the floor.

Gumus, who had remained composed until now, was visibly shaken. His hand shook as he dropped a silverplated diamond bracelet worth millions, staring blankly ahead in disbelief.

The four top henchmen beside him were equally stunned, entirely at a loss. Bryce had been their most vital asset on this trip, seen as an unstoppable force. Yet now, this legendary figure who had triumphed over countless martial arts academies in Mornwick lay lifeless on the floor.

They all thought, What on earth had just happened?!

Was it you?Gumusclever mask shattered, revealing a face twisted with fear as he turned to Leander.

All eyes fell on Leander.

Frankie and Jamero still struggled to believe the scene before them. Their mind raced. Does Mr. Leander indeed do this?

Leander dropped his hand, his face impassive. At this level, pretending to be all high and mighty is just laughable.”

Bryce had attained the pinnacle of a Martial Master. He could easily deal with outside martial practitioners like Jamero, and firearms were ineffective against him. A man like Bryce could take down someone like Frankie without effort.

Unfortunately for him, he had crossed paths with Leander. Killing Bryce didn’t elate Leander; it was as if he had performed a trivial task.

Leander turned his gaze to Gumus, a wicked grin spreading across his face as he declared, Now, I’m offering you a chance as well. Kneel and swear loyalty to me, and I’ll let you live!
