“Incredible!” After standing frozen for a moment, Emma snapped back to reality, her heart racing as she exclaimed in astonishment.

The Jesundese man, a half–Sovereign, showcased extraordinary swordsmanship. His rapid, powerful strikes overwhelmed their combined forces, defeating them in just three moves.

Even if Ethan, Claire, Daphne, and the others had been in their position, they might have lasted longer, but their chances of victory would remain slim.

Out of nowhere, a young man in white appeared. With an impressively youthful voice, he effortlessly halted the Jesundese man’s three strikes using only his fingers. Channeling his internal strength into a blade, he pierced the Jesundese man’s chest, killing him instantly. The display of power was nothing short of astonishing!

“A Martial Sovereign! He must be a Martial Sovereign! There’s no doubt about it!”

Elias narrowed his eyes slightly, recognizing that only a true Martial Sovereign could so easily defeat a half–Sovereign.

“There are no Martial Sovereigns in Mornwick. Even the head of the Tarlyn Guild has only reached the peak of Grandmaster level. That man sounded very young and definitely isn’t the head of the Tarlyn Guild. In Listin, only my guru and Emperor Jade are Martial Sovereigns. He isn’t my guru. As for Emperor Jade, he has remained at Shire Peak for years, not coming down since his battle with Gareth. Most Martial Sovereigns in Astria focus on their own territories and wouldn’t easily venture into someone else’s domain. Even if he’s a Martial Sovereign from another state, we’ve never seen one this young! Who on earth is he?”

Elias pondered the situation for a while, but it still didn’t make sense. That man seemed to have materialized out of thin air, leaving no trace of his presence.

Emma blinked, feeling an odd familiarity in his voice, as if she had heard it not long ago. Furthermore, that white attire looked somewhat familiar too.

“Hmm?” A face abruptly appeared in her mind, making her expression shift drastically.

“Emma, did someone come to mind?” Elias asked.

“I can’t shake the feeling that the man we just saw was the one we confronted about the engagement!” Emma replied, shocked by her own words.

Leander was far too young. How could he possibly be a Martial Sovereign? How could he defeat a half–Sovereign so effortlessly? The aura emanating from that man was transcendent, far beyond anything Leander could possess.

“Emma, what nonsense are you spouting? Do you really think that kid could be a Martial Sovereign? Do you honestly believe an eighteen–year–old Martial Sovereign exists?”

Elias shook his head immediately, unable to accept what Emma had just said. He would find it easier to believe the Earth was flat than to accept that Leander could be a Martial Sovereign.

Emma also found the idea ridiculous, though the man’s voice sounded eerily like Leander’s. However, recalling his shabby appearance and cheap rental, she shook her head, trying to dismiss the thought. Still, the image of that white figure lingered in her mind, refusing to fade.

At his modest rental, Leander opened the door and unexpectedly bumped into Madeline, who had just come back from the bar.

“Leander, did you just get back?” Madeline asked curiously, noting that it was already after one in the morning.

“I was feeling thirsty, and there weren’t any drinks in the fridge, so I went downstairs to pick some up,” Leander said, lifting the drinks in one hand while helping Madeline with her backpack.

Madeline took a shower, changed into fresh clothes, and sat on the couch with her damp hair draped over her shoulders.

“Leander, Yvette and Ginny came by the bar tonight. They’re planning to visit Water Paradise in Ascendia this weekend. I heard there are some exciting new attractions. Do you want to join us?”

Leander, lounging on the couch with a can of soda, instantly shook his head at the suggestion.

“I’m not really interested in those kinds of places!”

Throughout the years, he had ventured through numerous locations, encountering life- threatening moments time and again. What thrilling or dangerous sights hadn’t he already experienced? A basic water park wasn’t enough to capture his interest.

Additionally, Cumus was arranging for the prominent figures of the Northridge Alliance to meet at Maplebrook Manor. His goal was to assert his dominance and establish control over the alliance before addressing matters concerning Madeline.

With everything set, he would head to Tardide Valley to plant Silverleaf, a crucial component of his plans.

“Leander, to be honest, Yvette is the one who asked me to ask you.”

Madeline paused for a moment before continuing.

“Yvette?” Leander asked, slightly surprised. He hadn’t expected that arrogant woman to think of

him.

“I’m not going. You all enjoy yourselves. I have some matters to attend to.”

He had no interest in that woman whatsoever. If she weren’t Ms. Hollis‘ daughter, they would barely interact.

“Could you just come and keep me company?”

Madeline smiled playfully, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

“You little rascal, are you trying to trick me?”

Leander chuckled lightly, realizing that he likely wouldn’t have the chance to see Madeline again for a while after this week. Feeling a bit soft–hearted, he agreed. He considered it an opportunity to have some fun with her while upholding his responsibility as an older brother.

Leander received a message from Frankie after class, four days before the weekend, informing him that Gumus had already gathered the prominent figures from various cities in Northridge at Maplebrook Manor.

Upon arriving at Maplebrook Manor, Leander didn’t head directly to the meeting room. Instead, he sought out the list of prominent figures attending the gathering.

‘Charles Thompson from Swinford, Robert Miller from Eldoria, Joseph Harris from Floravine, Thomas Martinez from Aqualis.’

Leander scanned the list, noting over 50 names, each representing a significant figure from major and minor cities across Northridge, ruling over their respective territories. Some even had deep–rooted connections within the counties and townships under the major cities, reflecting their substantial influence.

The assembly of these individuals led to the formation of a powerful alliance across Northridge, a formidable source of strength.

“Very good!”

Leander nodded, feeling satisfied. With these people supporting him, his ambition of establishing a business empire would become significantly easier and more realistic.

“I won’t be attending this meeting. Simply act as my spokesperson and express my intentions. Inform them that partnering with me will bring rapid success and double their assets. It’s that simple! If anyone disobeys, just kick them out! If anyone stirs up trouble, don’t hold back!”

Just as Frankie was about to enter the meeting room, a sudden disturbance arose at the entrance of Maplebrook Manor. Trouble appeared to be brewing, as a substantial group entered, their numbers quite noteworthy.

Frankie’s expression darkened as he wondered who would dare to stir up trouble in his territory.

He stepped outside with Jamero and the others, confronting a group of men dressed in black. The leader was a tall, middle–aged man in a long coat, holding an imported cigar. His heroic appearance and commanding presence distinguished him from the rest.

Upon spotting Frankie, the man flicked his cigar and released a cloud of smoke.

“Frankie, I heard you’re hosting some kind of alliance meeting in Northridge today. I’m Tommy, and I’m very interested in attending. Are you really going to keep me out?”

Frankie’s eyes widened in surprise.

“You are Tommy Dunphy?”

This well–known figure from Southridge had surprisingly appeared in Ravenridge!
