Zayn had arranged the best Amorous Rooms for the group from Ravenridge. Each of them was given the royal treatment and everyone was becoming increasingly impressed with their experience at Water Paradise.
Madeline seemed deeply affected after hearing Autumn’s words. She didn’t come to find Leander that evening, instead heading to the hot spring pool with Ginny.
Leander was assigned one of the furthest rooms. He leaned against the large open–air hot tub and felt the gentle evening breeze as evening fell. The cool air was refreshing and comfortable.
Zayn dressed in a well–fitted shirt and had a string of prayer beads on his wrist. He strode into the large music bar at Water Paradise.
The breeze carried a faint scent that caught Leander’s attention as he passed by. His nose twitched slightly. However, he shook his head and turned his gaze away, not bothering to investigate further.
“Miss Little, why didn’t you invite Colin and Madeline along? It’s just the two of us going for drinks?” Yvette asked and walked side by side with Autumn.
Autumn didn’t show any sign of hesitation. She gave a casual answer. “Madeline and Ginny are soaking in the hot springs. Colin is up in the billiards room on the fourth floor. I’ve already sent them a message, they’ll join us later. Besides, Mr. Mardin is already at the bar so we should go and keep him company.”
Yvette wasn’t completely convinced but nodded. After all, the one inviting them for drinks was the top young master of Ascendia, the youngest son of Mr. Mardin. Even her father wouldn’t dare to show disrespect, so she couldn’t refuse such an invitation.
They walked toward the bar and Yvette caught sight of Leander as they passed by his location. Her eyes flickered slightly. After hesitating for a moment, she asked, “Leander, Mr. Mardin has invited us for drinks. Are you coming?”
Leander didn’t even glance in her direction. His gaze remained fixed on the water before him as he shook his head. “I’m not interested.”
“Don’t mind him. Mr. Mardin didn’t ask him to come. It’s only for us,” Autumn chimed in. Her voice dripped with sarcasm. She had always disliked Leander and seeing Yvette speak with him only irked her further.
Yvette gazed at him for a moment before shaking her head in resignation. She then continued walking with Autumn.
But just as they took a few steps, Leander’s voice rang out from behind them.

“Yvette, I don’t care about your personal life. However, I feel obligated to remind you out of respect for Ms. Hollis. You’d better go back to your room and get some rest now!”
Leander suddenly spoke, causing Yvette to pause and turn in surprise.
She furrowed her brows and asked, “Give me a reason.”
Leander didn’t explain further. He simply waved his hand and said, “I’ve said what I needed to say. What you choose to do is up to you.”
He turned and walked back to his room after saying that. His retreating figure was all that remained.
Yvette furrowed her brow even more. She felt utterly confused by Leander’s words.
Although she despised his attitude and his self–righteousness, she couldn’t help but feel strangely concerned by what he had said.
She stood there and felt torn between going back to her room as Leander suggested or following Autumn to the bar.
At that moment, Autumn urged her impatiently, “Yvette, let’s go. Why do you care about what he said? Mr. Mardin is waiting for us at the bar, and you know his status. We might lose out on this lavish treatment next time we come to Ravenridge if we show up late!”
Yvette’s mind snapped back to reality. She nodded in agreement upon thinking of Zayn’s overwhelming power and his influence in the city. Then, she followed Autumn into the music
bar.
Inside the bar, the place was bustling with wealthy young heirs and heiresses of Ravenridge. Although many were of high status, only one table remained untouched. At that table sat Zayn Mardin who dressed in a well–tailored suit.
“Mr. Mardin!” Yvette and Autumn greeted as they sat down in front of him.
Zayn’s eyes lit up as soon as they landed on Yvette. Her vibrant appearance standing out in the dimly lit room.
“Ah, you’re here! What would you like to drink? There is every kind of fine liquor available. We drink to our hearts‘ content tonight!”
He eyed Yvette subtly and scanned her slender figure. He quickly masked his the demeanor of a gentleman when she looked his way.
gaze and put on
The three of them ordered a few mixed cocktails. The bartender was exceptionally skilled and served drinks that far surpassed anything Yvette had experienced in the bars of Ravenridge.

The cocktails tasted exquisite and were a bit stronger than usual. After only a couple of sips, Yvette felt her cheeks flush. This made her look even more alluring.
Zayn watched with keen interest. He imagined the quiet that an alluring beauty in front of him becoming more intoxicated as the night progressed. His pulse quickened. The anticipation became almost unbearable.
As they drank and chatted, Yvette finished her first cocktail. She felt a lingering desire for more, so Zayn handed her another glass at just the right moment.
As he passed the glass, his fingers brushed against the prayer beads on his wrist. A fine dust fell from the hollow bead into the drink and dissolved completely.
Yvette didn’t notice the subtle move. She took the drink and savored a small sip. The taste was slightly different this time, but she assumed it was just a change in flavor.
What she didn’t realize was that she had already stepped right into Zayn’s carefully set trap.
In the Amorous Room, Leander was lounging on the couch and playing on his phone. He suddenly received a message from Ms. Hollis.
‘Leander, it’s been a while since I’ve seen you. When will you come over for dinner?‘
Leander replied casually, then sighed as he stood up. She’s Ms. Hollis‘ daughter after all. I can’t just ignore her!
He opened the door and quickly headed toward the music bar.
Inside the bar, Yvette had almost finished her second cocktail. Though she had initially felt quite clear–headed, her vision was starting to blur. The surrounding voices of Autumn and Zayn became harder to focus on.
Zayn noticed the change in her demeanor and a smile curled on his lips. Tonight, Yvette was his prey.
“Mr. Mardin, Miss Little, I’m sorry. I think I’ve had a bit too much. I’m going to head back to my room now,” Yvette slurred. Her head was spinning as she excused herself.
As she tried to stand, her legs wobbled beneath her. She collapsed back onto the couch. Her lips muttered incoherent words as she slipped into a half–conscious state.
“Mr. Mardin, congratulations in advance!” Autumn raised her glass to Zayn with a smile.
“The money has already been transferred to your account.” Zayn smirked as he drained his glass.

His eyes were fixed on the intoxicated beauty on the couch. The sight stirred a surge of desire in him. He licked his lips and prepared to lift Yvette up. However, a long and pale hand moved to block him just as his hand reached out.
Zayn’s expression darkened instantly. He raised his head and searched for the person daring enough to interrupt his plans.
As soon as his gaze met the person, a pair of cold and indifferent eyes met him!
