Chloe Sinclair held a thick stack of reports.
Joel Quincy gave it a quick glance, estimating it to be seventy or eighty pages thick.
"What is this?"
Chloe Sinclair handed the report over, explaining, "This is a partial report on the nuclear nullification device. I’ll compile the rest for you on the last day of the month."
Joel Quincy was slightly surprised.
But when he remembered what Chloe Sinclair had said at the press conference, he quickly calmed down.
The light in his eyes grew brighter as he read through a few pages. Finally, he closed the report and couldn’t help but say, "Chloe, your growth has truly exceeded my expectations."
Theory and practice are two different things.
The only thing that can support theory is practice.
Chloe Sinclair’s progress truly astonished him.
Flustered by the praise, Chloe Sinclair scratched her head. "I just hope you won’t blame me for being reckless, Professor."
At the last press conference, she had gone off-script in order to humiliate the lab from Meridia and expose their fraud.
The results had been more than satisfactory, but she still felt a pang of regret.
After all, even if she hadn’t been so impulsive, there were still other ways to handle the situation.
By announcing that she could develop the nuclear nullification device, she had clearly put Joel Quincy and the entire lab in the eye of the storm.
Joel Quincy hadn’t expected his young apprentice to still be dwelling on it. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "So, do you regret it?"
Chloe Sinclair quickly shook her head.
There were certainly better methods, she had to admit. But if she could go back, she would still do the exact same thing. To make a lasting impression and truly humiliate Meridia, they had needed to give the public a powerful shot in the arm.
Seeing this, Joel Quincy suddenly burst into a hearty laugh.
