Julie Judd’s situation wasn’t just a personal problem, but a societal one—even a national one.
Julie Judd wasn’t the only one who couldn’t afford the medicine; hundreds of other leukemia patients across the country were struggling to survive.
Developing a miracle drug was a matter of utmost urgency.
After returning from the party, Chloe Sinclair shut herself in her room.
What she needed to do immediately was get certified and register the company.
Given her current status, it was impossible for her to establish a pharmaceutical company on her own, which was why she thought of Aaron Archer.
So, she contacted Aaron Archer the very next day.
They met at a coffee shop, and when Aaron heard what Chloe Sinclair had to say, his eyes widened in disbelief.
"You’re saying the company will be registered in my name?"
Chloe Sinclair took a gentle sip of her coffee and gave a faint nod. "That’s right. I can apply for the relevant documents from the authorities, but everything has to go through the proper legal channels. I don’t have the necessary license, but as a pharmacist, you do. That’s why I want to make you the company’s president."
’Actually, Chloe Sinclair had her own plans.’
’She didn’t have the spare time to manage these things, and in the future, the biopharmaceutical research institute would also need someone to run it.’
’She trusted Aaron Archer’s character, and she certainly wasn’t going to let such a great talent go to waste.’
"But I..."
He instinctively wanted to refuse. ’I’ve never managed a company before,’ he thought. ’Suddenly being given such a huge responsibility... it’s a bit much for me to handle.’
Chloe Sinclair saw through his hesitation. Not minding that she was forcing his hand, she said, "I’ll give you a raise."
The words of refusal were right on the tip of Aaron Archer’s tongue, but they changed instantly when he heard her offer. "Alright, you have a deal."
"Oh, right." Chloe Sinclair suddenly remembered something. "I’ll be staying in Emberfall for the next few years and won’t be going back to Kennet much. So, I plan to move the bio-company to Emberfall. Would you be willing to relocate?"
