On the verge of tears, Chloe Sinclair had no choice but to let them inside.

Her gaze returned to the several gift boxes of various sizes on the table.

Mr. Sinclair was the first to speak. "I’m getting old, so I don’t really know what you young people like anymore. I decided to have a villa built for you in the suburbs of Emberfall. But time was tight, so it probably won’t be completed until the end of next year."

Ethan Sinclair said, handing her a small box, "I heard your little Audi got rear-ended. It wasn’t a very expensive car, so I figured you could use a replacement. These are the keys. I’ve already arranged to have the car delivered to you in Emberfall."

Chloe opened the gift box and glanced at the car key.

’Oh, wow. A Maserati.’

Next, Landon Sinclair handed her a very thin box. "This is five percent of the family’s shares in the company," he said. "I’m giving them to you. You’ll receive dividends from it every year."
