"The goddess went into Room 314!"
"Holy shit, she really went in. Is the goddess going to take a class here?"
"I’m so excited! Whose class is in 314? I want to go listen in too!"
"Me too..."
So, when the professor arrived for class, he found the classroom and even the hallway outside crowded with students.
Some were even clinging to the doorframe, peeking their heads in through the back door.
Leo Sloan frowned. "What are you all doing?"
The students glanced at the professor and quickly asked, "Professor Sloan, why is Chloe Sinclair at the math department? Did she transfer majors?"
Leo Sloan shot them a look. "Transfer? In your dreams! If she transferred, the School of Physics would probably rip the pants off our dean."
With that, a smile touched Leo Sloan’s lips. "Chloe Sinclair is studying both Math and Physics."
The students immediately understood.
But a storm of shock raged within them.
One student clicked their tongue in amazement after hearing this. "If anyone asks what the difference is between an Emberfall University student and Chloe Sinclair, this is the perfect example of what makes a top student versus a god-tier student."
A saying had been going around Emberfall University lately: Emberfall University students are Emberfall University students, but Chloe Sinclair is Chloe Sinclair.
Chloe Sinclair was someone the entire student body of Emberfall University looked up to.
At only eighteen, how many things had she already developed?
Condensed matter physics, nuclear fusion, reactors, nuclear wastewater purifiers... And rumor had it that the first-generation intelligent robot recently released by the Shaw Group was also her creation.
Any one of those achievements was enough to put them all to shame.
A single one of Chloe Sinclair’s casual experiments could be a level of achievement many people wouldn’t reach in their entire lifetime.
When she solved the Hodge conjecture, it sent shockwaves through the entire math department.
Everyone had originally thought that after getting into Emberfall University, Chloe Sinclair would join the math department. It was only later they discovered her true talent lay in Physics.
The Hodge conjecture? She had just solved it on the side.
"Since Chloe Sinclair is here, maybe I can ask her to explain some problems to me? There’s a lot I don’t understand."
Leo Sloan shot the student who spoke a look and said irritably, "Chloe Sinclair has her own things to do. If you have questions, why don’t you ask a teacher?"
Another student immediately teased, "Professor, it’s not that he doesn’t understand. He’s obviously just looking for a chance to get closer to his goddess."
Leo Sloan: "..."
"Go, go, go! I’m starting class."
"Let us sit in, Professor! I’ve heard you’re a damn good lecturer."
"Sit in, my ass! Your own classes start in one minute. Don’t blame your professors when you fail your finals—you’ll have brought it on yourselves."
The students: "..."
Only then did they realize they were about to be late.
Forgetting all about their goddess, they sprinted toward their own classrooms at breakneck speed.
Leo Sloan shook his head with a helpless smile.
After walking into the classroom, he immediately spotted Chloe Sinclair sitting in the back.
With a slight smile, he waved her over. "Chloe Sinclair, come sit in the front row, next to Gideon Lawson."
Chloe Sinclair: "..."
’That sounds strangely familiar,’ she thought.
Nevertheless, she stood up and glanced toward the front row.
There was only one person with a buzz cut sitting there, who she guessed must be the Gideon Lawson that Professor Sloan had mentioned.
With a nod, Chloe Sinclair walked to the front and sat down next to Gideon Lawson.
Now, the only two people in the front row of the classroom were Gideon Lawson and Chloe Sinclair.
Chloe Sinclair was a little curious herself and wanted to see what Gideon Lawson looked like.
She found that he was quite different from what she had imagined.
Gideon Lawson’s name was elegant, but his face held a hint of wildness. He had a buzz cut and a scar at the tail of one eyebrow, giving him a somewhat fierce look.
