Wyatt Thorne’s voice was gentle, but his expression was cold.
Anyone could see that Chloe Sinclair wanted nothing to do with him.
And yet he insisted on cozying up to her.
Of course, Wyatt Thorne had no idea what everyone else was thinking.
He had made a point of styling his hair today. Malnutrition had left it with a slight yellowish tint, which gave it a unique sheen under the lights.
But one glance was all it took for Chloe Sinclair to notice how coarse Wyatt Thorne’s hair was. It was obviously not well-maintained.
As Chloe Sinclair thought this, she disliked him even more.
’I can’t believe Wyatt Thorne was already this kind of person back then.’
"You’re apologizing on behalf of Yuna Sutton?"
Wyatt Thorne froze, stepping in front of Chloe Sinclair before nodding. "Yes, I’m apologizing on her behalf. I’m the one who caused the misunderstanding. It’s affected you, so I have to apologize."
With that, Wyatt Thorne gave Chloe Sinclair a deep bow, which she accepted with perfect composure.
Her gaze, however, was pure scorn. "You say you’re apologizing on Yuna Sutton’s behalf, but did you tell her you were coming? You’re apologizing to me, but have you told her to stop bothering me from now on?"
Chloe Sinclair’s sharp words left Wyatt Thorne completely speechless.
He gave Chloe Sinclair a puzzled look, but when he saw the undisguised contempt in her eyes, his whole demeanor changed.
Wyatt Thorne managed to keep his composure. He took a deep breath, clearly on the verge of anger, but then he suddenly smiled. "Chloe, don’t misunderstand. That’s not what I meant. If you’re unhappy about it, I’ll be sure to make things clear with Yuna when I see her. But my apology is sincere. Please, forgive me."
Chloe Sinclair scoffed.
