"Young Master Wang!"
Su Chen was also a little shaken when he saw the newcomer. He never would have imagined... that the person who arrived would be this Eldest Young Master Wang.
Su Chen used to be quite envious of this young master. Driving luxury cars, living in a mansion, surrounded by a constantly changing entourage of internet-famous beauties—who wouldn’t be jealous of a life like that?
Young Master Wang walked into the room and saw Su Chen and the other two men sitting in the lounge area, drinking tea.
He was very familiar with Chen He and Deng Chao, but a flash of astonishment crossed his eyes when he saw Su Chen.
He’d originally assumed it was someone from the entertainment industry, but it turned out to be a stranger.
"He, who is this?" Young Master Wang asked, looking at Su Chen, his gaze lingering on Su Chen’s wrist for a moment.
"Young Master Wang, this is Mr. Su. He’s a friend of Old Deng!" Chen He quickly introduced.
Chen He and Young Master Wang were very good friends, so they were on casual terms and didn’t use formal titles, which would have seemed too distant.
Hearing this, Young Master Wang smiled and greeted Su Chen, "Hello. My name’s Wang."
"Hello. Su Chen."
Young Master Wang was quite curious about Su Chen. ’After all, a man who wears a watch worth several million must have some kind of background. It’s worth getting to know him and making a friend. Who knows, he might be useful one day, right?’
"It’s clear at a glance that Mr. Su is no ordinary person. May I ask where you work, Mr. Su?" Young Master Wang said as he sat down on the sofa, not forgetting to pour himself a cup of tea.
"Haha, ’high position’ is a bit of an overstatement. I’m just an idle fish!" Su Chen knew from his posture... that Young Master Wang was trying to sound him out.
Su Chen calmly accepted the formal address from Young Master Wang and didn’t say something like, "Just call me Su Chen."
’Maintaining a little mystery has its uses.’
Young Master Wang was also a bit surprised to hear this. He had expected Su Chen to introduce his family background and then try to deepen their connection through conversation.
But now it seemed that this Su Chen didn’t care about his background... or perhaps, even looked down on it?
’Looked down on it?’ The thought that popped into his head made Young Master Wang feel like he was going crazy. ’In all of Huaxia, how many people could possibly look down on the Wang family?!’
For a moment, Young Master Wang’s mind raced, but he couldn’t make sense of it.
"What a coincidence! I’m an idle fish myself. We should all hang out sometime!"
Seeing that Su Chen wasn’t talking, he knew he couldn’t press the matter further. After all, it was their first meeting, and their relationship hadn’t reached that stage yet.
"Sure, anytime!" Su Chen just listened to these pleasantries without taking them too seriously.
The group chatted for a while before Young Master Wang announced his departure. After all, there were people waiting for him downstairs. Before leaving, he made a point of exchanging contact information with Su Chen.
After Young Master Wang left, Su Chen lost interest in staying any longer and said, "It’s getting late. Let’s call it a night, too."
"Alright," Deng Chao nodded with a hint of resignation.
He had actually wanted to have a good chat with Su Chen tonight and get closer to him, but after Chen He’s little stunt... he didn’t feel it was right to say anything more.
Seeing Su Chen to the door, Deng Chao opened his mouth as if to say something, but in the end, it only came out as, "Mr. Su, let me treat you to dinner again next time we have the chance!"
Seemingly sensing Deng Chao’s unspoken words, Su Chen smiled and said, "No problem. I’ll give you a call next time I’m in the Imperial Capital!"
"Okay, Mr. Su!"
Only after watching Su Chen drive away did Deng Chao turn and go back to the private room.
As soon as he entered, he saw Chen He leisurely sipping tea and playing on his phone.
"You saw that Mr. Su off?" Chen He asked, putting down his phone when he saw Deng Chao return.
"Mhm."
