The next day, 10:00 AM!
The Peninsula Hotel!
"108 Shallow Bay Road?" Su Chen murmured, looking at the property deed in his hand.
"Mr. Su, the house was just recently renovated. Everything inside is brand new. You can move in whenever you’re ready!"
Chen Feiyu was bitter. This mansion was originally bought by his family for him to use after he got married. They had gone to great lengths to renovate it, spending nearly fifty million on the decorations alone!
Fortunately, after this incident, his standing in the Chen family had risen. Plus, his father, Chen Yulong, had promised to buy him another mansion—just not one in Shallow Bay.
"A mansion in Shallow Bay... Young Master Su, why don’t we just move in? It’s pretty boring staying in a hotel all day, anyway," Sicong said from the side, a look of anticipation in his eyes.
After all, the most expensive house Sicong owned was only worth 200 million. This one mansion could buy more than two of his. It would be a lie to say he wasn’t curious.
Su Chen was swayed. Staying in a hotel was indeed not very comfortable. He mostly stayed in his room and was starting to find it quite boring himself.
"Alright. Go back to your room and pack. We’ll move over right away!"
"You got it!" Sicong shot up from the sofa and headed for his room.
Seeing this, Chen Feiyu, who was standing to the side, quickly said, "Mr. Su, I’ll make a call and have the mansion’s staff prepare for your arrival!"
"Staff?"
Su Chen paused, looking at Chen Feiyu in surprise.
"Yes. One butler, one chauffeur, two chefs, and four maids! If you weren’t still single, Mr. Su, I would have arranged for Filipina nannies as well!"
Chen Feiyu quickly explained.
Su Chen hadn’t expected the Chen family to be so thorough.
"The Chen family really went to great trouble," Su Chen said, giving him a meaningful look.
Chen Feiyu’s heart tightened. He lowered his gaze and nodded. "It’s what we ought to do."
Su Chen gave a slight nod and said no more, instead getting up to go back to his room and pack.
In truth, he didn’t have much, just a few sets of clothes.
Chen Feiyu was quite sharp. The moment Su Chen finished packing, he hurried over to take the bags from him.
......
Shallow Bay is located on the south side of Taiping Mountain on Xiangjiang Island. It is home to a bay acclaimed as the "First Bay Under Heaven" and also boasts the nickname "the Hawaii of the East."
The mansion from the Chen family was situated right near Shallow Bay Beach, just a five-minute walk away!
As the saying goes, "Mountains govern people, and water governs wealth." With its back to the mountains and face to the water, Shallow Bay naturally became the preferred location for Xiangjiang’s wealthiest residents.
Celebrities like the King of Gambling and Li Ka-shing all lived here.
Su Chen originally thought 108 Shallow Bay was a single house. He never expected that when he arrived, he would find the entire address consisted of a complex of eight Western-style mansions!
Su Chen’s mansion was Building C, located at the highest point and near the center. The view was incredibly expansive, overlooking the entire Shallow Bay Beach.
"Welcome home, sir!" As soon as he got out of the car, he saw a middle-aged man in a suit leading a group of uniformed maids standing at the entrance.
They were all bowing slightly, which for a moment made Su Chen feel as if he had traveled back in time to a bygone era.
Chen Feiyu made a special point of introducing the butler. His name was Jiang Hui, a graduate of the British Butler Academy who had been in the profession for twenty years.
Led by the butler, the group began to tour the mansion.
Sicong sighed dramatically. "Ah, Young Master Su, you’re going to miss out on a lot of fun that way. You should be willing to try anything once. You might find you like it."
Su Chen was silent for a moment before saying, "We’ll see. Maybe some other time."
Hearing this, Sicong didn’t press the issue and changed the subject. "Young Master Su, how much do you think you’ll make from the stock market this time?"
"How should I know?"
"If... and I’m just saying if... if you make a profit this time, Young Master Su, can you bring me in on your future investments?"
"Hm?" Su Chen slid his sunglasses down his nose and gave him a strange look.
’Sicong’s had his own investment firm for years now,’ Su Chen thought. ’He’s invested in plenty of projects and gotten considerable returns. Why would he suddenly want to partner with a "newcomer" to the investment world like me?’
’Did he get a taste of the profits from shorting the Xiangjiang market and now wants to tie his interests more closely to mine?’
Su Chen couldn’t figure it out at the moment, so he decided not to dwell on it.
’As long as I’m strong enough, no one can take advantage of me.’
His fingers tapped rhythmically on the tabletop—TAP, TAP, TAP.
After a long moment, Su Chen finally spoke. "Sure. I’ll call you next time there’s an opportunity."
"Then I’ll thank you in advance, Young Master Su!"
"But let me get the ugly part out of the way first—if the investment fails, you can’t blame me," Su Chen added, making sure to give him a warning.
"Don’t worry, Young Master Su. I, Wang Sicong, am not a sore loser."
Sicong declared loudly, patting his chest.
