Jett’s heart sank the moment he hung up Briar’s call. He cast off his human form and rushed toward Kade’s residence at top speed.

He stepped inside and found Briar standing beside the bed with a tight, worried frown.

Kade remained trapped in unconsciousness. His face grew far paler than before. His breath turned shallow and rapid, and the aura of his wolf spirit faded noticeably.

“What happened to him?” Jett asked anxiously, his voice trembling slightly.

Briar turned around with a grave tone. “The venom has spread all over his body. His condition has worsened drastically. If we fail to find the antidote soon, I fear…”

He trailed off without finishing his sentence, yet Jett fully understood his unspoken meaning.

Sharp panic gripped Jett’s chest. He dialed Nira’s number right away, only to be met with a cold automated voicemail prompt.

the phone, please. Miss Soren, answer me quickly.” Jett grew utterly distraught.

Briar looked confused. “We need to focus on saving his life right now. How can reaching out to Nira help?”

He knew Kade held deep affection for Nira, but this was no time for personal feelings. Survival came first.

“I heard a skilled healer cured Reginald of the Stonecrest Pack,” Briar went on. “Her medical skills are extraordinary. If we can bring her here, there may still be hope for Kade.”

He had already contacted the academy head, hoping to get in touch with the gifted healer.

Jett grew even more anxious and paced restlessly around the room. He finally spoke the truth, “That skilled healer is none other than Nira herself.”

“What? Nira is the renowned healer?”

Edith pushed the door open abruptly, having overheard their conversation. She shared the same shock as Briar.

She hurried over to Jett. “Where is she now? I will grant her anything she desires, as long as she saves my grandson.”

Jett told them everything about Nira’s abduction and how Kade had rushed recklessly to her
