Nira’s POV:

Leland grabbing me like that caught me completely off guard. Instinct kicked in, and I pushed him away with a burst of Lyra’s strength.

He stumbled back, nearly losing his balance before catching himself. The moment he steadied, realization hit him and his expression shifted to embarrassment.

“S–sorry, Nira,” he said quickly. “I got carried away.”

“We all did,” Sterling cut in, stepping forward to smooth things over. “Honestly, your skills just blew us away.”

Trenton scratched the back of his head, looking genuinely awkward now. “Yeah… about earlier, that was on me. I ran my mouth without knowing who I was talking to. That’s my bad.”

He glanced at the others before continuing, more serious this time. “Your level? Yeah, we’re not even close. We’ve got a lot to learn from you.”

I didn’t take any of it to heart.

Ever since I “lost” my wolf, this kind of attitude had become normal. Most high–ranking wolves either underestimated me or dismissed me outright. I had gotten used to it a long time ago.

“It’s fine,” I said calmly. “Apology accepted.”

The tension in the room eased immediately.

Alden, on the other hand, looked genuinely impressed. “Nira, how much are you still hiding? A perfect score on the special evaluation would’ve been enough to make history, and now this?”

I blinked at him, letting a small smile slip through. “You’ll find out eventually.”

Trenton’s eyes widened like he’d just connected the dots. “Wait, hold on. You’re that Nira? The one who ranked first on the special evaluation?”

Sterling hesitated, clearly uncomfortable now. “But… the forum said you didn’t even finish middle school, and that your grades were fake…”

His voice trailed off as he glanced at me.

I didn’t bother correcting him. I just smiled.

Alden’s expression hardened instantly. His gaze swept across them. “You all really believe everything you read online? For people with high–level wolves, your judgment is worse than an average Omega.”

They dropped their heads immediately, visibly ashamed.

After scolding them. Alden turned back to me, his tone softening again. “Don’t let any of that get to you. The school will handle the situation. You won’t be treated unfairly.”

“Thank you, Alden.” I nodded. “If that’s all, I’ll head out.”

“Go ahead.”

Not long after I left Alden’s office, the post about me disappeared from the school forum.

Then came the official announcement.

The school publicly condemned the spread of false information and made it clear that anyone involved would face serious consequences. To back it up, they released the full set of special evaluation exam papers.

The condition was simple.

Anyone who disagreed with the punishment could take the same exam. Open–book. Same score as mine, and their penalty would be revoked.

The entire campus exploded.

“Wow, they really went all in. Dropping the actual exam like that? That’s brutal.”

“People really thought that test was easy? Even with notes, most of them wouldn’t come close to Nira’s score.”

The response was overwhelmingly supportive. At the same time, curiosity about me only grew stronger.

As for the ones who had been called out, their expressions turned ugly the second they saw

the announcement.

Rhett, as the original poster, received a major disciplinary warning. He was also disqualified from all academic honors and evaluations.

Tessa, Derrick, and the other students who had taken the special evaluation stepped forward to clarify things. This year’s exam hadn’t just been difficult.

It had been brutal.

The moment I heard the news, I was so furious I wanted to shift on the spot and tear Nira

apart.
