Chapter 6 Kiting the Impossible
Even the multi–hour, Level 20 gear sets paled compared to the Treant set.
The first set bonus was activated once the full 10–piece Treant set was assembled.
Effect: Restore 50 HP per second without being interrupted by attacks.
This effect was immensely powerful in the early stages of the game.
With the complete 13–piece set, a second bonus would be unlocked.
Effect: Reflect 10% of all physical damage taken.
Coupled with the attributes of the Treant set, it created a high–recovery, damage–reflecting, and tanky shield warrior.
For Skyspire Shield, acquiring this set for 300,000 dollars was an absolute bargain.

Ding! “Due to your extensive hunting of Twisted Treants, you have angered the Twisted Treant King. It will arrive on the battlefield in five minutes. Please evacuate immediately.”
Both Alden and Skyspire Shield received the system notification.
“Finally here?”
Skyspire Shield, who also received the system alert, became visibly excited.
“Frost King, the boss has spawned! Are we fighting it?”
Alden nodded. But then Skyspire Shield received another system notification.
Ding! “You have been kicked out of the party by Frost King.”
Skyspire Shield was shocked.
“Frost King, what’s the meaning of this? Taking down a boss without me?”
Alden casually replied, “Stay out of this one.”
“But…” Skyspire Shield was dumbfounded.
Is this how you treat your financial backer?!
“Frost King, isn’t this a bit unethical?”
“I only promised to get you to Level 10. I didn’t say I’d share the boss with you.”
Alden’s response was concise.
All boss first kills offered special rewards, and solo first kills yielded even more substantial bonuses.
Bringing along Skyspire Shield would only lower Alden’s chances of obtaining the rewards.

Skyspire Shield froze. “This is the boss? Over 110,000 HP, with this kind of attack power. Who in their right mind could take it on right now?”
Even if Alden’s basic attacks dealt 500 damage, killing it would still take over 200 hits.
“This is insane.”
Skyspire Shield instinctively stepped back, secretly glad.
With such overpowered stats, I’d like to see you take it down!
The Twisted Treant King was a magic–type boss, and its hidden magic attack stat was undoubtedly much higher than its base attack stat.
Combined with two control abilities, no one could claim to solo it at this stage.
Just when Skyspire Shield thought Alden would back off, something happened.
Whoosh!
An arrow precisely struck the Treant King’s core.
-501
A damage number appeared.
“No critical hit?” Alden frowned slightly but showed no fear.
Alden frowned slightly but remained unfazed. As he released the arrow, he repositioned immediately and fired another shot.
-501
The damage was decent, but the Twisted Treant King’s movement speed, attack speed, and range surpassed normal monsters.
A long vine lashed toward Alden.
-319
One basic attack dealt over 300 damage, leaving Skyspire Shield wide–eyed in shock.
At Level 6, even with equipped gear, his health barely exceeded 700.

This meant he could only survive three hits!
However, something made Skyspire Shield’s jaw drop.
After taking 300+ damage, Alden’s health bar barely budged.
“Holy crap, holy crap, holy crap!!”
At this moment, Skyspire Shield could only use those words to describe his feelings.
If he weren’t familiar with Twilight of the Gods, he would have outright shouted, “This guy’s definitely hacking!”
But this was even more overpowered than hacks!
Alden ignored the stunned Skyspire Shield, deliberately testing the Twisted Treant King’s attack.
Basic attacks felt like minor scratches.
Of course, the skills were still overwhelming.
Since that was the case, there was no need to dodge basic attacks, as they would only interrupt the output time.
With this thought, Alden stopped evading the basic attacks and began kiting the Twisted Treant King.
This scene left Skyspire Shield dumbfounded.
Kiting a boss–what kind of extraordinary person was this?

After recovering from his shock, Skyspire Shield quickly opened the recording function. He was certain that if the guildmaster saw this, he would be left speechless in amazement.
But what happened next truly stunned him.
As the Twisted Treant King swung its vines, preparing to cast a skill, Skyspire Shield smiled smugly. He knew that the Twisted Treant King was a magical monster, and its skill damage would be extremely high.
But just as the Twisted Treant King was about to cast its spell, Alden fired an arrow that hit its wrist, interrupting its casting.
“Is that a Precision Strike?!”
Skyspire Shield, being a high–level player, immediately understood what was going on when he saw Alden’s move.
But understanding the principle was one thing. To hit the Treant King’s arm amid all those vines and interrupt its casting would require an Olympic–level archer to pull off, and even then, it wouldn’t be easy.
Whoosh!
Alden’s attack pace didn’t slow down. His fluid kiting technique was a sight to behold.
Whenever the Twisted Treant King tried to cast a skill, Alden interrupted it with another precise arrow shot.
